Thank you so much, Edna, for posting and sharing. It means so very much to all of us, I know -- and thank you for letting us share Irene. She was a wonderful woman, who touched a LOT of lives in this community. She will be deeply missed.

I've been away from the boards for the summer and am only now learning of this. I can tell you that she was one of the most valued voices over at the SYW children's lit section. She was an amazing person, always giving her time to crit pieces. Her writing was engaging and fun. I'm so sad to know that the world of kids' lit lost a great writer. I'm even more saddened by the fact that you and yours have lost someone you love.
