Just finishing A Knight's Tale.

I love this movie.

 "It's called a lance...hellooo"

LOVE this movie; haven't been able to watch it since Heath passed away.
Same goes for The Crocodile Hunter. My daughters grew up watching his show along with Jack Hannah. 2 minutes in, I'm sogging the front of my shirt with tears. Just can't do it.

Watched Salt over the weekend. I guess it's fun to watch Jason Bourne recast as a female, but overall, it was pretty workmanlike and unexciting, since I've seen the same thing dozens of times since 2002.

Dorian Gray with Ben Barnes and Colin Firth. Very nice adaptation of the Oscar Wilde horror classic. Interestingly, the only reviews on the DVD cover were from Cosmo and Glamour, but Ben Barnes really is that hot in this. Writing, directing, acting, production = 7 of 10, Hotness of Ben Barnes= 10 of 10.

I agree entirely on the Barnes hotness. The film itself though...Let's put it this way: the book's one of my favourites, the movie is not.

I watched When In Rome yesterday. Yeah. Terrible.

.

Yeah, in fairness, the Barnes hotness factor may have caused me to over-rate the movie, but it's the closest to the book that I've seen. Love that book too.

The Expendables. I grew up with this genre, and this offered nothing new. Yes, it tried to be funny and work with the cliches, but ended up only being utterly boring. And really, I've liked quite a few of those mindless action movies over the years. This just didn't do it for me. Bad, bad, bad.

Just Rented The Conformist - Bernardo Bertolucci. Absolutely one of the most beautifully shot movies ever. See it just for that. Those Italians.

Tried watch Confessions of a Shopoholic. Loved the book (actually read the first three), so I thought I would enjoy it. Got about 30 minutes in before turning it off. They changed so much, and it just couldn't hold my interest.

Last night I watched the Out-of-Towners. The original one with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis. Brilliant movie, so funny. And much, much better than the remake.

The Bank Job.

When it started, I did wonder whether I'd picked a risque film by mistake but I stuck with it and was glad I did so. I found it an entertaining thriller based on a 1970's London bank robbery of safety-deposit boxes.

Horsemen. I was totally into it, until about the last half hour or so, and then it all went to crap. *sigh*

Caught Alice in Wonderland and A-Team on the flight back from London.

Alice I actually loved (but didn't expect too--getting tired of Burton's dark vision). It may be Burton's best.

A-Team was a fun, mindless action flick. i don't really get the bad reviews this one got. I mean, what do the critics expect from summer fun action films?
