I'm so pleased about all the MTSers signing up for NaNo! Don't forget that buddying is bilateral: if someone buddies you, you have to buddy them back otherwise it's only a one-way buddy... if that makes sense :)

I didn't get any words yesterday. The cumulative lack of sleep did for me. But last night I managed to get through most of the night, waking up for only one aftershock. So I have high hopes for today's word count!

Buddied back hummingbirdchen, sassy3421, DocBrown on NaNo

I never noticed that other tab. There were other people on it buddying me and I never knew and didn't buddy them back! Jeez I'm so rude!

Did some words on lunch today, not sure how many yet. My evening hours I'm still editing something else.

Ah the 4k word days. :)

If only I had the stamina to do that 5 days a week. That's almost a novel a month!

I've only hit that mark 3 or 4 times in three years though.

I did a little bit of editing today for -300 and some words. I don't think I'll be putting that in my word journal though. ;)

When I'm on a roll, I do about 500 words an hour. If I didn't have a job, I could probably do 4,000 words a day. Maybe if I win the lottery - then I could be the rich, exciting author even without having sold any books!

620 words yesterday, none today so far.

I started out with a goal of 2k...the amount required for NaNoWri...but the number went up when I gave myself a reward to look forward to. A glass or 2 of red wine....lol

That has to be some kind of record - over 4000 words!!!! WOWSERS...

:TheWave:

and thanks Steampunkette! It felt great reaching that many words. It's been a while. And it's a first with my current WIP. I normally find it hard reaching 2k with it because it's new characters, and in first person POV which is also different for me.

I edited a chapter, and soon I'll be rewriting it. I've always hated it. Revisions are the perfect excuse to destroy! Chapter 9, I'm coming for you! :sword

Steam has 1,000 posts!

I got 742 last night on the WIP, plus about a hundred on Something Else. Then as I was falling asleep last night, trying to figure out how to close the scene I'm working on, I had the Perfect Idea! Yay! No, no need to write it down. It's so perfect I'll never forget! FF to this morning, and you get a gold star if you can guess how much I remembered (hint: white noise).

The next few days are going to be run-run-run for me. Dh's birthday (today), then I launch a kids' program at church that will take up most of the week-end. So probably not too many words. Or thinking. :D

And they're off...

I tackled rewriting the opening chapter of "Shapes". Again. One of these days, I'll end up with an opening I can live with.

Worked on my WIP on lunch again so after tomorrows lunch I'll transfer and post my word count.
Editing, proofing and layout in evening hours on the land stuff. (Not counting those words, too tedious.)

Happy me. My architect/artist friend said I can use some of his art I had my eye on for the cover of my Indian Land title book. Ya, I know what your thinking... you've heard that before. But really, his paintings sell for $$$$$$. I just happen to have the images he sent me. One is long so perfect for a wrap around cover (createspace) and the image is apropos. So I'm going to send him a rights use thingy to sign. Soon as I check out the right wording for something like that.

220 words tonight!

What an awful dry spell I've had. I'm sooooo close to finishing, so of course I'm letting all kinds of self doubt slow me down. But I forced myself to sit, BIC and all that, and hammered out a few words. I'm hoping that's enough to break the spell.

Soooo close...

Nice one SP. :partyguy:

I did quite a lot of editing today. Four chapters, almost 15k words.

I ended up with a net of 894 words, for better or worse.

There are waaaaaaay too many numbers in this post. Mama feels dizzy... :tongue

History, that's way neat about the art!

612 words for me yesterday, which is so good considering how busy I was. Funny how that actually seems to help sometimes.

1330 net words today.

Woot! Illness becomes me. I managed to get my final edits done this week! :e2woo:

That is, before my beta readers shred it apart. :e2bummed:

Just for HJ, my final word count: 103,410

Each and every one of them gold and platinum and encrusted with jewels so I couldn't possibly edit out a one of them. :thankyou:

Maybe...
