Bad Book Reviews

Inspired by the newest post on Charlie Stross' Blog.

Since stories, even of our own AW members, sometimes receive harsh reviews and mockery, let's get a little revenge and look up the most silly, uninformed, hilarious, ungrammatical or just plain bad reviews on Amazon and post them here. The more well-known the book, the better, bad reviews can only be fully appreciated if one knows the book of course.

I'll start with a Review for Animal Farm

This is the worst book I have ever read., March 15, 1999

This book was terible. I was forced into reading this book in school. Which is no surprise, this is exactly the kind of book our government wants to force people to read, so they hand it to schools, and try to force us to read it. This book was written by a insane man named George Orwell, who hated society, and displayed that by bashing humanity, and making people look like lower lifeforms than animals. He used pigs to potray govermnent officials (which isn't a bad choice if you ask me), horses for hard working people, dogs as SS troops, etc... Throught this entire book, he constantly tries to show that humans are sick people, that will corrupt no matter what happens. To be honest I think this man is crazy and needs to be locked up.

It's hard to pick a favourite part of this, but i think i'd nominate the locking up George Orwell part.

Um....nope. Charlie Stross is a good guy, a smart writer, and I like his blog a great deal. But he has a very different community than AW.

This is just not the place to repost badly-written, barely-literate stuff written to trash other people's books for fun, though. Start a blog, if you're feeling driven to do that, 'kay?
