Luckily, I don't care. I almost wish the mail came only once a week (not that's I'm trying to put you out of a job).

No more mail than we had today, it seemed a waste of gas and time driving around for six hours. Never mind the fact that 80% of the people won't bother to wade through all that snow to get it anyway.

The USPS doesn't understand the concept of working smarter, that's for sure. They are floating a trial balloon about closing 2,000 offices around this area. It's one of their favorite tricks. Put out a little press release and sit back and see how the public reacts. Stupid part is that they're talking about sub-stations mostly, not the tiny offices that lose money year after year.

We can use them for our potato cannon.

I could use some potatoes. I've been so hungry these last couple of days.

I suspect it's because I've cut my smoking down. So instead of 20+ cigarettes a day, I'm having about 14 a day, or thereabouts. I intend to cut it down further than that, too.

But the craving my stomach gets for cigarettes is remarkably similar to the craving it gets for food. So while I've been delaying smoky gratification, my stomach has been persuading me to eat. *sigh*

that's the oral fixation problem. Get yourself some gum, suckers or something like a jawbreaker to satisfy that craving.

Hmmm . . . that could be a new diet book. The Spuds Diet. Couldn't be any stupider than the cabbage diet.

Or "crunchy munchies" like carrot sticks.

that too. Good greif, you people have been talkative today. :)

I've given up on the idea of catching up from this morning.

I rarely read more than one page back.

What's behind me, ain't my problem. Unless it's a bear.

I have gum. I just never think to chew it. I don't particularly like gum... but I keep buying it whenever I think I should give up smoking. *shrug*

*chews gum while writing a new song*

Also. Carrot sticks? Do you not know me at all? I'd much rather eat an entire block of chocolate. ;)

I'm not sure I'm going to endorse cats as a cupcake replacement.

Good morning, house of snow and ice (except for Cliff).

What a mess it was on the roads here yesterday evening. At one point I looked out the front door and just then a car was sliding off the road. "Oh, look, they've invented a car that goes sideways so the driver can enjoy the scenery."
