Hiding from a teeny tiny spider
I once bit a man who tasted like turnips. He was a Swede. *flees from hail of Bad Joke Bricks*
Oh, David, that is just, well, baaaaaad
*Creeps back in to add* If anyone cares, and if it counts as published, then I've had over 60 short stories, comics, articles and novellas published in the Neopian Times, the 'weekly virtual newspaper' fiction collection of the popular children's site Neopets! Give them a look if you ever have the time - not looking for crits or whatever, just thought I'd share more of my MG writing past...

http://www.neopets.com/ntimes/index...ess_search&week=157&keywords=tambourine_chimp

For the older/more recent stuff you'll have to go back to the current/updated version of the Times and search 'tambourine_chimp', as the link it provides is simply /index.phtml :(

Hope you enjoy them!

*Creeps out*
After that bad joke you think people are going to go and look at that link. I'll only go and look if you now post a good joke :D

DavidBrett, I think that's a well-written joke except that I had to look up the Britishism before I got it.

Someone will have to explain it to me, because I don't get it. And Sundays are my lazy day, so I refuse to look anything up. :D

Is it the same as a rutabaga?

I have to say, that was rather clever, David.

I forbid anyone to eat David. He's clever. And seems to be fitting right in with the kidlit gang.

Feel free to eat timp, though. If you like rutabagas.

He's all yours. I've gone this long without eating a rutabaga. No need to try it now.

And I do kinda like timp. So, don't kill him. Just take little nibbles here and there, okay?

6'7''?! Your head doesn't look that big in your avi.

I'm only 5'3''. (Okay, I'm somewhere between 5'2'' and 5'3'', but if I stretch my neck, I'm 5'3''. :D)

Holy cow, that's tall. Although my sister is not tall, yet the entire US Army couldn't get through her in one sitting ;)

I'm not sure what this means, but it sounds really, really wrong.

Sorry I'm not around so much - not only am I a terrible lurker but I also suffer from an 'is this worth saying?' attitude, which is rather harmful to my post count.

Not sure how to post a quote and respond to it. But Ivan B--sounds like --if saying something makes you nervous--maybe you Really need to speak up. And it may be something we all need to hear. :)

See the "QUOTE" button at the bottom right hand corner of all the posts? Just click that button on whichever post you wish to quote, and it'll open a reply box for you to write in.

And if you want to quote multiple people, click the multi-quote button on each post you wish to quote (it's the button beside the "QUOTE" button), and then hit the "post reply" button at the bottom of the screen.

Welcome to AW! :D

Oh, it's nothing like that. Despite writing being my job, I still suffer from quite a sizeable lack of self-confidence in my 'art'. So I don't really think myself an expert. I'm better at taking things in than imparting them, that's all!

Oh, good heavens. Knowing what we're talking about is NOT a requirement. If it were, things would be awfully quiet around here...

So, timp, why does Jed think you're over a 100 years old?

And why aren't we bouncing over in the bouncy castle?

I guess I'm going to have to bounce here. :Jump: :Jump: :Jump:
