April Writing Prompt

Your mission:

Write a short story (or scene, or poem, or anything that involves a bunch of words strung together in a literary fashion) that includes each of the following in some way:

1. Rain (because it's April Showers time!)
2. A too-small and/or broken umbrella
3. Some reference to Sally's steamboat OR timp's dirigible.

Have fun.

They're references to kidlit inside jokes (and the AW steampunk theme), but they can be whatever you want them to be.

You can have a real steamboat or dirigible, or kids playing a new game involving a steamboat or dirigible, or a picture of a steamboat or dirigible, or a song in the "Sally has a steamboat, the steamboat had a bell..." format.

Wherever your imagination takes you. The sky's the limit (especially if you're riding in timp's dirigible!).
