I watched some clips on Yahoo this AM. At first I didn't like her dress, then I realized it looked a lot like Grace Kelley's. I like it now.

Showing my age here because many of you may not even have been born yet but...I remember when William was born. I was there in London waiting for word of his birth to come when we knew Diana was in labor. I lived near Kensington Palace and saw the limo returning with Diana, Charles and Baby William after his christening, even have a photo in which you can make out the royal couple. I'll never forget it. So yeah, I'm an Anglophilic (sp?) sap...though I draw the line at getting up in the wee hours to watch the ceremony, what with the internet these days.

I did. :D Watched it live on the TV too. (Of course, it was on at a decent hour over here, heh heh!)

I much preferred Kate's sister's dress to Kate's.

I either didn't see it or didn't like it. Somebody on my facebook just posted that Kate's dress lace detailed the national flowers. Which is super awesome.

Hi, parumpdragon. :D

I've finally started making progress with my revisions (although I'm only up to pg 52 out of 396, so I've a bit of a way to go yet, lol!). Been off work for the past week, which has been great!

How are you?

Hi Netz

Yeah, I have been working on my WIP, got 1450 words yesterday, but I think a couple hundred need to be cut from that. Culled - rather, lol

We have national flowers? Lol!

Glad the weather was good for them (and the crowds - wouldn't have been much fun for them lining the streets if it was pouring with rain!).

Here in the USA we have state flowers too, and a state bird - even a state song (though no one knows it or sings it that I know of). Laughs.

Haha in Wisconsin if our state song is what I think it is, I know bits and pieces of it.

Yeah I think we just chose a state firearm too - go figure, but it is the west. They were trying to pass a law here where it was legal to carry guns and weapons on college campuses. Yeah- that would go over well. Not. (They already passed one for public parks.)

Food channel cake challenges and all their shows on places and foods to eat. Lol.:evil

Okay, how weird are we? I watch those cake-off thingies and get hooked on who will win. I DON'T bake! Ha ha.

I didn't watch the wedding. I'm sure they will replay it for those of us who have to get up every three hours to feed newborn kittens (there are so many of us)

I'm watching American Idol 'cause I'm freaking in love with Steven Tyler but last night ticked me off majorly. I was hoping this year wouldn't be a pink, puffy, pop princess, popularity contest...say that three times fast, I dare you...but it is. :(

I liked to watch the food channel too when I had cable. I don't know why? Maybe because I like to eat food and I never got to eat anything exciting or exotic growing up so it satisfies that need in me? I have no idea.

Yeah, I do not cook. I just like watchin the food. And I don't care who wins, just that you get to see it all.

Always think that I would not want to eat it though(the cakes), cause they breathe on them and some of the people on certain shows don't wear gloves or anything (and have wiped their nose- ewww). THose shall remain nameless.

Oh...please no...tell me it's not going to be a Lauren Whatserwhosyface (Elayna?? or something like that) win this year. I can't stand her.

Don't know, don't watch. Probably happier.

@Pezie - yeah 'The Voice' was good. Funny, cause they picked on sound of person's song and then when they turned around most of them looked nothing like they sounded.
Most interesting was them not picking this gorgeous singer(of indian descent), who could sing, but none thought strong enough at first. Then when presented with her beauty, 1 wished he had reconsidered and chosen her (cause she had the overall package and would have been marketable in the end - laughs).
