Good morning all! I haven't been here in a while, but I'm still alive ... mostly, lol. Just wanted to check in and say hi, and to say good luck to everyone no matter if you're writing, revising, or querying.

I'm finally querying again. So we'll see.

Hi guys, sorry Allie, but I have nothing to post. I have not been writing the last few days. Nothing new on Shoona, and my short project just fizzled out.

Hi Dorothy, nice to meet you! Good luck w/ your query.

PD--don't give up, just take a rest for a day or two, it'll come back to you. Do you ever do any sort of writing exercises or prompts? I was skeptical at first about how writing something prompted from a book would help, but they do. It gets you thinking and once the brain gets going, it's easier to jump back into the WIP.

misslissy--YAWN is YA Write Now. Kind of like a write or die, word war, etc. Someone designates when to start (usually on the :00 or :30) and then you write for an hour. At the end of the hour, we post a snippet of what we wrote (usually ~500ish words). Then read what everyone else posted and give a little crit or comment via rep points. Then delete your snip. It's another kind of exercise/prompt to get you writing. If you're a deadline motivated person, it works quite well.

So you post a snip of your work. Anything you want, usually about 300-700 words. Then you read other people's stuff they posted and "rep" them saying what you thought of it. And you get reps in return.

I find that typing my mother's WIP (since she does not know how to type), gets my fingers in the mood to write. That is my writing exercise, lol. =)

Chels--my printer isn't even plugged in, so you are way ahead of me :).

PD--hey, whatever gets the juices flowing!

misslissy--why do people steal things? I just don't get it. I'd be irritated too (all those good coupons today!).

I know right? I am a couoponer and I swear that whoever steals it is too cause it's only on the weeks we get coupons. Like last week they didn't steal it and there were no coupons.

pd- I'm here but I'm about to head out - sorry, I don't think I have time to take a look. Next time I promise.

.

I bet whoever is stealing your coupons is too. Probably one of those "extreme" couponers. Cheaters.

I know, I mean I can tell the newspaper I missed it but then sometimes it gets redelivered, sometimes I just get credit on my account. I'm so upset because somebody is cheating me. And okay, the first time it happened I let it go but it keeps happening. I've tried everything I can to get them to stop.

How about a video camera aimed secretly at the spot the paper gets thrown to catch them in action. It might make a nice present for the police later. =)

Well short of buying a spare, lacing it with itching powder and putting it out there - (or doggie poo,) I don't know what else could deter someone. Lol.

Happy Sunday drive-by. I've been busy doing all things unrelated to writing. Cleaning, shopping, don't you hate that? I did catch a re-run of the royals getting married. Very nice. I'm off to do some reading in a hot bubble bath. Gurgle, gurgle :)

PS Hi Pixie! :) We haven't met yet but I've seen your cool avatar around the site. Looks like you like to write some of the same stuff I do. Cheers!
