You know it, Mike!!! Pull up a chair! :D

I miss this place soooo much!! Where's the gang? It's Friday. We should be partying for something right!? :)

Hey, is this a private party or can anyone join in? We could drink for the weekend ahead. ;)

I have the day off work (Bunker Hill Day!) and dropped the car off for service and took a nice long nap. Perfect for a rainy friday at home all by myself! I may even get some writing done before I have to go pick up the car and all the kids. (-:

Sad that my idea of a good time is a nap, but there it is.

Do we need a reason to party? If we do, it's that Honey is here!!
:partyguy:

andreea, there are no private parties at this pub, you are ALWAYS welcome to join in. We encourage it, we love it, we don't bite. (Well, sometimes Jed threatened to bite, but he's been unreachable for awhile. :(

knockthewblock, welcome as well! Always good to see new faces. :welcome:

*Hooks ipod up to the pub's speakers.* Any requests?

Happy Friday everyone! Hello to the new faces.:Sun: I haven't been here in a while either, things have been just crazy.

Hubby's been in and out of the hospital what seems like constantly for the past few weeks. Good news though, the last ER doc he saw suggested that his parahyperthyroidism (however you spell it) might be caused by celiac disease. So for the last week the whole family has been eating gluten free and he is actually feeling better for the first time in months. We're waiting for test results to see if that's what it is--though, he's already said that he sees no reason to go back to gluten if he keeps feeling better, no matter what the test results are.

Unfortunately though, four days into the new "diet", my son (who we already know has a dairy intolerance) had a horrible detox-type reaction and now he is undergoing a whole bunch of tests to see if he's intolerant of other foods as well.

And to top it all off, my two dogs have mange. :e2faint:

Hiya my fellow peeps!!!
:welcome: to those I haven't met yet and big :Hug2: to y'all that I have been missing terribly!!!
I'm still in limbo with my computer so I'm forced to share with the girls on theirs. I usually don't get the opportunity to jump on during the day and at night I've been trying to rewrite my almost lost novel!!! Much to do and not enough time in the day!! :)

Haven't lost hope on retrieving info, but things aren't looking good. Hope to see some of you tonight as the girls will be going to friends and I have the computer all to myself!!! Be there or be square!!! :D

*Grabs glasss and waits at bar*

*sits down beside Honey, pours a double, tops up everyone else's glasses too*

It's not sad. My husband and I had our tenth anniversary yesterday. (Nevermind that I'm waaay to young to have been married for that long:D) The kids are going camping with their cousins for the weekend, and he asked me what I want to do. My answer? "Enjoy a quiet house.":)

*fills glasses once again.* Geez, ya lushes. :D

Spiral, I know so many people whose lives have improved with a gluten free diet! Symptoms from serious eye infections to fibromyalgia have disappeared. Whoda thunk? I hope that's the magic bullet for your husband. Maybe the dogs should consider it too. :)

andreea, I supposed biting is allowed, if that's your thing. Just don't want to scare anyone off. :D

Let's get this party started!

Welcome to the party, Mikey!

*fills a drink and slides it down the bar.*

I've got to taxi my son to a "burn your schoolwork party" but I'll try and pop back in later. Help yourselves to the potent potables everyone. :D

So...my quiet night is now a little too quiet. Hubby's gone back to emerg again.

I am really not trying to complain. I am very grateful that it's not pancreatic cancer like they first thought it was. I just don't have a lot of friends IRL to talk to and I might be having like my fourth or fifth glass of wine. So I could be whinier than usual. I appologize.

Ok, next bottle is on me. What's gonna be? red? white? rose?
And keep thinking that everything will be fine. You'll have him home soon, feeling better.
