ok been too long since I sat on that comfy sofa and sipped a nice glass of baileys. I hope all are doing well and that we all have best sellers just waiting for the right combination of agent/publisher.

So...my quiet night is now a little too quiet. Hubby's gone back to emerg again.

I am really not trying to complain. I am very grateful that it's not pancreatic cancer like they first thought it was. I just don't have a lot of friends IRL to talk to and I might be having like my fourth or fifth glass of wine. So I could be whinier than usual. I appologize.

I hope your husband is feeling better now.

Thanks Butterbean. There's good news. His celiac tests came back positive. I know, that sounds weird to call that good news, but it means we know what has been causing all of his problems for the last few months. And it's something that's easy enough to address, even if there will be a bit of a learning curve to it.

The other thing that makes it (strangely) good is that it's most likely the same thing that's causing my son's stomach problems. Good because it's something I can fix!

Thank you so much everyone, for being here for me. It means the world.

Hope to resume my regular spending-way-too-much-time-on-AW tomorrow. Hell, maybe I'll even start writing again ;)

Sara :) You're back. *pours us each a Bailey's*

It's 4:22 am here. I should still be sleeping, but it's like 8 million degrees in my house. :sleepy:

Spiril, I am glad they final diagnosed your husband's illness properly. I will keep your whole family in my prayers. I know a little about trying to cope with something no one could diagnose. At one time I even had cleveland clinic stump. But finally got a correct diagnoses and it has been two years and still doing ok.

Huggs.

My kidlets got up by themselves this morning, got their own breakfast and entertained themselves while momma slept. 'Twas good. :D

Good morning pub peeps! Spiral, that is encouraging news! Hope you embrace the adventure of finding new gluten-free recipes. I bet you will also notice an improvement in your own energy level. Having a scare like this also helps you appreciate what's important in life, doesn't it. :)

Like Baileys. :D

*pours a dash of Baileys in a mug of coffee.*

I'm recuperating from organizing a party to celebrate the milestone of my husband's 5 year cancer free milestone. Of course, an hour into the party, a severe thunderstorm forced us all under the canopy we had the foresight to rent. Seventy people under one tent! It was a sodden happy time. :)

Someone mentions baseball season and it starts to rain here. But you sneeze and it rains here. If we didn't get so much snow in winter time I would say I live in the rain forest.

Ohio, must be cursed by the rain genie...way back when...a old farmer that was experience a drought for one season wished for rain and surprise....genie granted it but forever...we will have weather that stinks...lol

It's been raining crazily here today. One minute it's nice and sunny, the next, a downpour like you wouldn't believe. I love rain, and I'm grateful for the days I don't have to water the gardens, but my poor chamomile plants are taking a beating, and my newly planted potatoes-in-garbage-bags are drowning! So, it's baseball's fault? I'm glad I now have something to wave a fist and curse at. ;)

Yay! Answers are good things, especially when they come with a fix.

Oh, how I long for those days again...

I have been known to call the current stage of childrearing, which I am smack in the middle of, as the SWYPT-ESOSM Gap, that dreadful, hellishly long time that lies between the stages "Stays Where You Put Them" and "Entertains Self on Saturday Morning."

I'm recuperating from organizing a party to celebrate the milestone of my husband's 5 year cancer free milestone.

Yay for your husband too!

Oh, you can always do that if it's the Yankees, even when it's not raining! ;)

Seriously though, raining here and gloomy. Was hoping for better weather this weekend b/c I'm building a stone wall along the front of my yard, and I was hoping to get further along. Oh well, will go back to cleaning garage instead. Always too much to do.

Yeah. I've been cleaning out my garage over the last few weeks and I found an old sketchbook of mine. Not sure how old I was when I drew it, but I do remember I was going for cuteness overload at the time. (-:

Morning Sara.

:hi: The James.

*puts two baskets of muffins of the bar-one set gluten free, of course.*

The (gluten-free) muffin recipe need some tweaking, but I made cookies yesterday and no one could tell. They were sooo good.
