Hello everyone! :) I've been hanging around these forums for a while now, just trying to soak it all in, and finally decided to get an account and participate. I've got to say, this is one of the most active communities I've found, and everyone seems so dang friendly and helpful! I can't wait to become a part of it all!

A little about myself: I've been writing (speculative fiction mostly) longer than I can recall. I distinctly remember having several short stories saved to those huge floppy disks on my mom's Mac II when I was barely in grade school! I wrote and wrote and wrote and took creative writing classes all through middle and high school, and then just.....stopped. For far too long...

But, I'm back at it again, and have been for some time, but I just recently in the last several months found this community. In that time, my WIP has progressed exponentially (or the pre-planning part of it anyway) and that is thanks to all of you and the ideas and trains of thought sparked by conversations I've found here.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and looking forward to getting to know you guys and share in the awesome energy of this little corner of the interwebs!

Welcome :hi:, nice to see you here.

Don't forget, you need 50 posts if you want to share any work on SYW. :D

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the ‘forum jump’ you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. Most of the SYW areas require the password of ….vista. A word to the wise, (50 posts), it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Sounds like you might at least be on the edge of old enough to visit the Old Farts Bar and Grill thread in the Office Party forum

Take some time and read the Newbie Guide and the Stickies found
at the top of Forum pages. They are your best guide to learning about

Don’t forget to read the FAQ regarding posting pictures at AW.

Good morning all, and thanks for the warm welcome!

I've been checking out the SYW threads and keep trying to post a critique, but I feel a little self conscious!

I'm sure once I get my feet wet it will be easier, but I can guarantee I won't be posting any of my stuff for at least 50 posts! :)
