FRIDAY! :snoopy:

Today, I will buy you a drink if you can name one good thing that has happened to you this week.

For me: yesterday I went to dinner and a movie with my book group. We read The Help a few months back, then went to the movie last night. Lots of laughs and a few tears. :)

One good thing that happened to me this week? Does mentally figuring out the outline for my next book count? Now if the book would write itself...LOL

That sounds like fun, swachski!

And, I'd say that counts, andreea:)

Hmmm... for me, I guess it'd be finding out we're going to my parents cottage a week early, leaving first thing Sunday morning. Of course, that's also partially a bad thing, because I only found out yesterday, and I'm not going to be home for most of the day tomorrow, so today I have to clean the house, pack, go grocery shopping and weed a garden so I can plant some strawberry plants my MIL brought me. It's going to be a busy day.

Oh, and I also have to fix the new batch of jam hubby and I made last night. I'd peeled and cored a whole bunch of peaches, and sat down for a break while he started making the jam. I yelled out, "you read the directions, right?" He assured me he had. I go back to the kitchen, where he's got the pot so full of boiling peaches and sugar that there's a huge peach explosion all over the stove. I ask him why the pot is so full. He's decided to make a double batch. I pick up the directions, and lo and behold, number one, right at the very top, says: Do not double recipes. Your jam will not set.

*sigh*

andreea, that SO counts! Awesome feeling, isn't it. Here's your drink...now get those thoughts written down before you forget them!

That's one of my problems. I constantly have ideas swirling around in my head, and new ideas blot out old ones, and then when I sit down to write them...I got nothing.

Spiral, hmm, you got me on a technicality. *hands Spiral a drink.* Some of that sounds, um, not exactly good. But I asked for ONE good thing and I think going to a cottage is very very good. Hope you can relax while your there!!

Peach Jam. Also good. :drool

Today, I will buy you a drink if you can name one good thing that has happened to you this week.

I found a box of photos from when my Eldest was a baby that I thought had gotten lost/destroyed when I moved.

Also: right now I have a giant slice of chicken, bacon, & bbq sauce pizza. And in three and a half hours I'm on vacation.

My good things:

The plumber is finally gone and fixed everything that was leaking or cracked.

But more importantly, my sick kitty is finally feeling better. I'm so happy it makes me tear up! :e2woo:

Uh... I bought The Losers DVD. That's good, right? Oh, and I found a copy of the first issue of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., so I have a happy now.

(not, in the grand scale of things, a productive week, but I'm not complaining)

I'm croaky - I sound like the villain from a bad low budget horror film. I feel as if I ought to be wearing a long raincoat and carrying a meat hook...

Haha... you should order pizza or something and so totally do that...

I could just see the guy when you opened the door or were trying to give him his tip!

Suzanne, don't you love looking through old photos? It's amazing how much we change over the years. Ever look back at old high school photos? Scary hilarious.

Red, good to hear your plumbing is plumbed, and your kitty is on the mend. It's so hard to see a loved one in pain. :Hug2:

BigW, if it makes you have a happy, then it's good. And you don't have to talk to watch DVDs.

Zilva, waking up is a good thing in my book. Staying away from the roofies helps. Hmm, how about an appletini?

These are all very good newses! Drinks for everyone, even if you got one already!

parumpdragon, you are looking awfully sexy in that sparkly getup. I'm curious, though, what those scribbles above your legs are?

My good thing for the week: I've had several, but since you only asked for one, I just signed the contract on my fourth novel. Bring on the pina colada's (sans alcohol).
