Just wanted to see how you have been doing as I roam the universe at 30 speedlightram hours. Sorry lingo is from another planet but it means the same old, same old.

Hey Raphee, same old isn't necessarily bad in this topsy-turvy world.

I can't claim any excitement happening here either, but that suits me just fine!

Thinking of a story opening for this month's BOC. Gotta plan this carefully, it could be the only thing I write this month!

Well, since the fearless Derek has beaten me to the punch, here's the ad.
Okay listen up troopers! This month's BOC is coming near and we are not prepared yet. Everyone has to pitch in; we have to ration our food, drinks, and of course water. Clothing is optional (wink at Derek). But most of all, we need to ration words! Yes, you heard right, we need to gather 150 words of the best book openers you can muster per trooper! Oh, and for those of the weak memory, you have until the 15th of this month! Yes, the 15th, that's 9 days from today! Chop chop people! We need to be prepared.

Well, this contest is for exercise purposes, to help us better write openers. So, you don't need to have something already written and polished. You can write something entirely new and use whatever time you have left (9 days) before the deadline to polish it up as you like. That being said, if you decide to participate, I'm looking forward to seeing what you write
