I have only recently discovered this show because a lot of people from my school watch it. I absolutely love the characters, especially Barney who is that hilarious and promiscuous man that every good comedy needs. Not only that but I love how every episode is a flashback that may not even line up chronologically, but that all contribute to this story of how Ted met his kids' mother. Beautiful story and an enjoyable show!

5. Glee
I really caught on with this show before most people. I am a music, show choir, showtune junkie and the concept of this show appealed to me from the start. It's a little shaky now compared to the first season which I loved, but I really appreciate what this show does and it will always hold a place in my heart. It's good.

And you're from Ohio. How awesome is that? Is Lima how they make it?

I can not narrow down my all time favorite shows, on air or off air, to only 5. I have been alive too many years for that. I will list five, but there are oh so many more.

Hmm, I'll play.

1. Buffy - favorite show since the first season. I heart Joss Whedon.
2.Firefly - only one season, but still better than most long-running shows.
3. ER - I love medical dramas, and this is the best one IMO
4. OZ - crazy, gritty, realistic, depressing, horrible...but I could not stop watching.
5. Supernatural - more than two hot brothers. Great writing, and underrated acting.

Notable mentions include Battlestar Galactica, Being Human (original), Freaks and Geeks, Castle, Criminal Minds, Friends, Queer as Folk..and probably some I can't think of right now.

ETA: for those that like Frasier, David Hyde Pierce grew up in the same town as me.

Hmmm.... 5 shows.
Let's see, Dexter, Six Feet Under, Firefly, Gargoyles, M*A*S*H, Game of Thrones... OK that's six.
I might have put House in there too, but I just can't stomach the way they ended the latest season.
Oh and honorable mention to South Park and DS9.
