January Prompt

It's a new year! Many of us have talked about our New Year's resolutions in the Bouncy Castle thread, and quite a few of us intend to write more in 2012. So, let's start now!

Write a short story/ chapter/ poem that includes one or more of the following:

1. Snow or ice.
2. A distinctive pair of shoes.
3. A colossal sneeze.

One more question: let's say I want to write a story that includes a distinctive shoe. Should "a pair of distinctive shoes" appear as a phrase. Or is it enough to describe parts of the shoe and from the description the reader will understand it's distinctive?

ETA: most likely my story won't have a pair of shoes, but have the same part from multiple shoes. Is that okay?
