Haha! More soda is on the list but I already have some fantastic leather fingerless gloves with lace and studs... They work on several levels. ;)

TJ, Hope your girls surprise you today and behave! That sounds like a headache in waiting.

Hey all.

Stopping by for a minute.

Many of you know I've been having some concerns about my dog. Turns out he has cancer, likely the most malignant kind based on age, location, and breed, and we could lose him very soon.

He's going in for surgery today and we'll find out how much longer he has probably in the next few days.

The outlook doesn't look good though. I'm trying to have some hope, but I have to be realistic.

So if I am flighty or suddenly post a lot or disappear, you'll know why. Anyone who knows me well knows I adore animals so this is very hard for me.

Any good vibes, prayers, or good thoughts would be appreciated. The odds are against him, and it would be a miracle for him to get better.

Oh, KL. :( *huggles* Miracles happen all the time. He's a lucky dog to have such good, caring owners. When you think about all the dogs in the world in shelters or abusive situations, it seems like only a select few get homes like yours where their owners are as loving and wonderful as you.

I hope he gets better. xx

Last time I went to walmart the manager was badmouthing a customer (to another employee), the returns register lady just wished I'd go away, and some lady cut in line then took forever to get rang up and didn't care she'd cut in front of me.

And the moral of the story is the manager's behavior was a lot less shocking in retrospect. Yay.

:( I didn't see this post before.

Cancer sucks and it's a shame so many dogs get it.

I highly recommend posting a lot. Plus we wanna know how you and your doggie are managing.

Good Morning Friends!

Happy thoughts for your dog KL. :)

Aaaaand, I've got nothing else to say. Time to kick Mr. Kricket out of bed to watch the kiddo so I can take a mid-morning nap.

Oh man, that's rough. Here's hoping the surgery goes well, that that you and he still have some good times and memories ahead.

A friend just posted this pic on Facebook of the street she lives on here in Fargo. I'm a bit blown away by it and wanted to share.

Its so crazy here, it actually feels like spring. Right now I have all my windows open and am wearing a tank top! This winter is my favorite winter ever. :D

2012 is definitely a great year so far. :D

Good day, Cantinarios. My day started with a gift.

I CAN HAZ SQUARSHY RED BLANKET!!

I don't want to rouse up any feelings of jealousy, as there isn't enough blanket to share with everyone, but let's just say, it was a gift that is going to get lots of use and guard me against the coming cold. It haz me filled with appreciations.

The cold has stepped away... but it's going to come back. We've had hardly any rain so far... and I can feel it coming... lurking out there over the Pacific Ocean... just waiting for us to put down our guard. And with the rain comes the cold...

I got a whole three hours sleep last night. But I can't blame my back this time. No, it's all Larry Correia's fault. After recommending his Monster Hunter series to a fellow Cantina-ite, I was compelled to read them again. I got caught up in Book One, and sat up to four in the morning reading.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer with heavy ordnance. Mmmm, good!

ETA: those here laboring in an unpleasant workplace, take heed: the first chapter is how the hero kills his asshole boss by throwing him out a 14th story window. Gotta love it!

I was up until 3, foolishly thinking I could finish Lady Audley's Secret. I forgot how wordish the Victorian's were. In a way I did finish, as the secret is out. The rest is just story-housekeeping. Even so, very dull and tired today. I need mores coffee.

KL - I am so sorry. I am sending up wishes for your dog to Ceiling Cat... I hope you get some good news. We are here for you whether you post or not.

I adore animals more than I adore many people, so I'm really feeling for you and Doggy. Sending both of you good thoughts. Now I really want to pet a dog, but Dixie (my family's black Lab) and Natty (my brother's black Lab) are back home, two hours away.
