Disable JavaScript. In Firefox, for example, Tools => Options => Content tab => uncheck Enable JavaScript => OK. Reenable when done.

Only do this is you have a good reason to access Wikipedia content. I figure there might be some emergencies, so there you go.

There's an iPad app for Wikipedia Offline. I just downloaded it yesterday. Costs $5, but since I only have Wi-Fi and not 3G, worth it.

Well, that's very clever. Being only somewhat computer literate, (although I did once correctly answer a question about a problem with XP in a tech thread) I love learning little simple workarounds.

Or use the French Wikipedia (it's good practice for my mediocre high school French) -- or any other language you can manage. You can get to all the wikipedias from http://www.wikipedia.org/ , and if you speak any of French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian, Polish, Russian or Portugese you can access some info.

There's also the Simple English Wikipedia, for people with English as a second language, and maybe young children too, I dunno. It has a simpler vocabulary and sentence structure overall.

I later looked at Wikipedia's FAQ and found that they had already told people how to access the site by disabling JavaScript. Ah well.
