Mmmmm.

I'm eating goldfish and basketballs(?) and booze.

Now, I know you are lying...

For that statement to be even close to physically possible, the booze has GOT to come first.

Oh, crap. If that was true, you are scarier than I thought. I need to go back under:chair. Don't get me wrong. Scary is good. I wouldn't still be here if I didn't enjoy being around scary women.

Just don't do the :e2teeth: thing please? I scar easy.

I *love* goldfish, though the basketballs seem like an odd tie-in to March Madness.

Cheesy, cripsy goodness though. And pretzlely, too, if you mix the bags.

Ye gads, has it been four months already? I've been away so long the Cantina remodeled. I knew that trying to self-edit would eat my brain, but this is verging on ridiculous.

I've started to explain revisions to my coworkers as akin to yanking out your own teeth, giving them a quarter turn, and then trying to shove them back in to fit. Am I alone in this, or is it the caffeine starting to dissolve my ability to make a simile? There has been a lot of caffeine.

The simile works just fine.

:D

Not sure about the pulling teeth, though. Ask Tiffers.

And ask her to demonstrate using colors.

Yo, dudez, Real-life vampires could, like, yo, sue you if you, like yo, use them in a story.

It's honestly been so long I think I'm going to have to relearn anyone I might have previously known here.

... so, anyone besides me been unable to stop watching the latest Prometheus trailer, even though it keeps inspiring embarrassing noises to tumble forth in reply?

But I am not admitting to anything.

I left my self-control somewhere in the bottom of the second can of Red Bull. I will freely admit that with every new trailer, this movie is infusing me with kind of horrified excitement, to the point where I feel like something has crawled down my throat, taken root, and any moment now is going to burst out of my ches-... wait.

Yeah, that's been done.

Which, the chest-bursting or the undoing by Red Bull?

... it may also speak of how melted my brain is that I think I just tried to combine those two concepts. That'll need some mental paper towel, there. Yeesh.

Those mental paper towels never really soak up the mess. they usually just push it around and make it messier.

What about nonfiction vampires in a fictional work?

:D

Somehow, I don't think the author would last all that long. I mean, how many Lestat's can their actually be?

You don't know me probably, I'm new. I'm the guy who says annoying things, then Hills goes :e2teeth: and I bleed on the floor for a while.

But I do like your simile. The problem I'm having is that I've gotten the teeth pretty much back in the right place. But, they are still kinda wobbly and loose. I need to firm them up.

Embarrassing noises? Please explain, but be discreet. I's a delicate lil flower.

Nah, if you are in the cantina, you are by definition geeky enough to get this. I think the "Embarrassing noises" thing probably equates to eruptions of squee, for example,"Awesome!" , "Cool", "I gotta see this!", all being screamed (like 13 year olds at a Justin Beiber concert) loud enough or in inappropriate places like the office, so that the people around stare.

Mm. Point. Any recommendations? I try to avoid the mental Swiffers, because then you can never get the damn Febreeze scent out and your gory horror scenes end up with a nauseating 'spring fresh' sort of taint.

Lestat was real? Ohhhhhhhhh.

Hey, about those Kraken treats. Are they made FOR Krakens, or FROM them?

I've found that living in SoCal, keeping my head at near-vacuum helps keep the messes socially acceptable.

Thank you for the intro. I'll keep an eye out for that, and be sure to hand you the mop if need be. :evil

It's funny... while a major sci-fi horror movie like this one can certainly inspire some to Bieber-esque sounds of glee and delight, it's the John Hurt death rattle that can really make the fanbase squee.

The kraken treats are for the Kraken. I'm not sure it's a good idea to tell you where I get the raw material. But, it's cheap, and I don't recommend tasting them. It may cause an ethical crisis.

Now, when you give them to the Kraken, I do recommend throwing them, the Kraken tends not to be very picky and you may lose a few fingers or even a whole arm, depending on how recently she's been fed.
