My patience may be running low today.

Good morning, all! Ah physical therapy hurts so good. Now I have to find mucho coffee to see if it'll lure my motivation back out. It doesn't like the PT as much as the rest of me.
I hadn't heard of this. I just can't see Cusack as an bad guy. Just like Harrison Ford or Denzel Washington. Can't do it.

Plumbing crisis averted! Pinhole leak in pipes above duct work. Plumber replaced pipe. No leak! And not that expensive, comparatively.
I had a grand time camping in Mississippi in medieval clothing. Worked in a bakery for part of the time, too. *That* was a blast.
Also, the camp grounds were far enough away from things (and basically only lit by fire) that I saw the stars of my childhood, rather than the light-bleached night sky that I get now. I'd forgotten how awesome it was.
Lots of good writing fodder stuff.
I'm not reading back a week of posts, sos to those that need them and
to anyone celebrating good news!

Dude, if I went into the ER, say with a vicious stab wound just under my left clavicle from a weekend spy-vs-spy type altercation, and came out of the anaesthesia to find I'd had a grapefruit attached to my person, I would be rather put out.And also slightly delighted, because I adore the scent of grapefruit.

So. The last word of my wip was "We decided to let the ice cream melt." It is now "We let the ice cream melt." Which means I made the last line of my WIP a stronger sentence, and that I reached the last line - which means I'm done with the first pass of edits.
I still need at the very least one more pass, as it is missing some oomph. I feel like my magic is all over the place and my character's weak on paper. I know have all the pieces to her; motivation, background, etc., and that needs to get put in so we have bigger consequences, etc.
I also changed her lover boy from being the boss to being her equal, status wise and felt like I lost something, so I need to juggle that. He was a hard-ass cop-guy and now he's mushed down to this sexy fairy guy. We'll see how it goes. I don't know if I should set it aside and started editing something else or plow ahead.

The full stop belongs, but the colon doesn't. It should be a comma. The part starting with 'given that' is a relative clause, and those are usually offset by commas (or a comma when it's at the end, like yours).
Or you could have left the colon and put a comma where the full stop is to make a different kind of sentence that I can't remember the name of right now because it's almost 8pm and I've been up since 4. Now... where's that googly-eyed smiley?

I would tell you to put it aside, but I can't ever take that advice. So, I'll instead suggest what works for me: Put it aside for the night. If the ideas for revisions start bubbling in the morning, plow ahead.
