A publisher or agency using Google ads to solicit your novel probably isn't anyone you want to write for.

Two Books/Two Publishers
I am fortunate!
A couple of months ago, I contracted with a small publisher to publish one of my novels. We are in the editing/proofing phase at this time. Now, a different small publisher is interested in another of my novels. Would it be appropriate to contact the first publisher to: a) Let him know of this opportunity b) Ask if he is interested in taking a look at the manuscript. I am not agented. (NOTE: If this is more appropriate in another forum, please let me know). |

If you're enjoying working with Publisher A, and would like to give them the opportunity to consider your second book, it is perfectly appropriate to say "I have interest from Publisher B on {your book}; I'm enjoying working with you so much that I wanted to see if you would be interested as well."

You might have to let publisher A have a look. Have you checked your contract for "right of first refusal?"

What Cyia said. Some contracts require you to allow Publisher A first look at your next work--it all depends on the language of the clause.
That said, this may be more appropriate to Ask the Editor, so I'm sending it down there.
