Can't believe this has been dead for almost two years... we're having a party with folks in Kansas and Nebraska this evening, though, so it's time to come hold my hand.

Got much more of an appreciation for what y'all go through now that my daughter wound up in the middle of one earlier this year. Sending out many Chihuey vibes. And you do know that us Chihueys vibrate a lot.

Sorry about sending that crap your way, s6. We seem clear here in OKC for the moment... windy as all hell, but nothing bad happening here. They're saying that will change once the Pacific cold front overtakes the dry line out in the Texas panhandle... then we'll get a nasty, fast-moving squall line between 2-4am that's capable of hail, straight-line wind damage and even tornadoes.

Yuppers... I'm sure of it. I loooooove this weather.

It's just on the point of rolling in now. From all reports, down here on the tail isn't going to be so bad--just thunderstorms and high winds--since there's no evidence of rotation, so far. Catch y'all later.

i thought of you last night, haggis. there was an ornery little she-hooey-hooey in the city storm shelter. the rule is no pets but several dogs were present: a white pitbull/mutt that seemed intimidating at first but then whimpered in its owners lap; a couple of huge hound of the baskervilles types; a mild mannered dachsund; an australian shepherd who only wanted someone to throw his toy turkey and baxter- a friend's basset hound. all were ladies and gentlemen except the she-hooey. he wanted to fight everyone, even the hound of the baskervilles and poor old baxter. small dog--big balls --s6

In my defense, the pounding of the thunder, coupled with the cacophony created by having all those people and dogs in a relatively small space, negatively affected my normally pleasant and placid demeanor.

well, i almost had words with my arch enemy, the put-put lady. she is the one who had our community garden closed down because the plants aggravated her asthma or some other self serving crap. she was whining about all the people who had brought their pets when it was clearly against the rules. i stood up for the pet bringers even though i didn't bring one. i bit my tongue before we had a geriatric cat fight but as far as i am concerned anything that aggravates her allergies is okay with me! so in a way i did defend your right to your she-hooey-hooey ways--s6

We've only experienced light rain so far. The system began breaking up as it approached us, and now seems to be reorganizing and intensifying as it moves on to the east toward Louisiana and SW Arkansas.
