editing for authors ad

A publisher or agency using Google ads to solicit your novel probably isn't anyone you want to write for.

I'm actually one of those sick, sick puppies who likes revisions and editing more than the initial round of writing. Sometimes, my first draft nearly creates itself in a frenzy of creativity (the first three-quarters of MORO took me just two months). But usually, there's a long slog of stop-and-start (the last quarter of MORO took three months for around 20K.)

With revisions (esp. editorial interaction) there's a lot of nitpicky refining that suits my OCD self.

Hildegarde, I really did it just for fun. I'd taken an editorial test from a big erotic romance e-pub (not the one I signed with), and realized that I wanted to write erotic romance as well as sf&f. The ER gave me the option of not 'fading to black', as I would with my mainstream sf&f work.
