Thanks. It was actually coccidiosis, a microscopic parasite. He's almost done with his full course of treatment now and is better.

This is why I love this community so very much. I don't know much about getting animals from pounds or from private owners. Living on a farm, I sort of fall backwards into ownership of the pets who come to live with us.

But this is information I would never have known had I not stopped to squee over kyoot kittehs.
