Thank you for linking this. I am starting out with a fantasy WIP using Scrivener for the first time, so his extensive use of the program is pretty inspirational.

This just made my day.

I've yet to try Scrivener, mostly because I would spend all of my time playing around with the features and never actually getting any writing done. And even though I'm a pantser I've learned that I do best when I write my drafts in order and don't skip around. Maybe someday I'll give Scrivener a try, though.

I just downloaded the free trial yesterday and am finding the writing mode where it blacks out your entire screen except for the writing part really handy. It's preventing me from web surfing. Now if only my kids would stop using me as a jungle gym. Ha!

I absolutely adore Scrivener...but I find I don't write in it.

I write in Ommwriter and port it to Scrivener, or I write in MS Word and port it to Scrivener. I love the ability to move stuff around and make notes and highlight in multiple colors and all the things that make Scrivener an aces revising tool. I also like the status markers; I label my scenes with "To-do" "Needs revision" etc. Then I can create a "to-do" revision list by saving a search that looks for all the statuses that indicate there's something left for me to address. It's so awesome to work through a novel and see the to-do list get smaller and smaller as it goes.
