the winter of my discontent
I've spent the past hour digging back into my revisions, making notes on my outline and re-reading the opening of this WIP. And you know what? It's not what I wanted to work on now, but damn. I really love this story. And reading it more doesn't make me hate it. There are very, very few things I've written that I can say that about. If this one doesn't sell, I might have to consider self-pubbing it (and it's sequel).

The gaseous pit of stupidity
I love oddities of people. Let me share the recent one I just observed. In the men's restroom there was a man drying his hands. He retrieved two paper towels from the automatic dispenser. Then he proceeded to pat his hands dry with the first. Threw that one away and then picked up the second to work in between each of his fingers methodically.

Work bathroom strangeness -- in the old gym on my campus the women's locker room was... cozy, to put it mildly. One extremely confident lady preferred to air dry: every day she would wander out of the shower, spread a towel under the hand dryer, and sit cross-legged and bare-assed for about 15 minutes, smacking the button every time the dryer turned off.

Yay, Ink!

Rick, have a good work-ation.

Watching 'An Officer and a Gentleman'. First time I've seen it since I went to see it in the cinema ... oh my God, THIRTY years ago.

I'd forgotten what a brilliant film it was, heaps better than that piece of poo 'Top Gun'.

That is awesome.

Except that Top Gun is the best gay romance movie that isn't supposed to be a gay romance movie EVER!

Every gym seems to have one of those. And no, it's never the hot young women who don't seem to have a sense of what the general tone is about needless nudity. (At some gyms, people cover up quickly, and at others, they don't.) I sometimes wonder if these people miss other social cues, too.

I'm disappointed in myself for writing very little while we were here. I seem to have spent our down time just goofing around online instead of being productive. Since reading light is not well arranged, I didn't get much further into my book, either, even though it's excellent.

But we're leaving with all clean clothes. I did that right, anyway.

Maryn, still goofing around online

Everybody needs to goof around some times. You need to recharge.

And clean clothes are always good.

I went to lunch with a friend and came home to a spotless house. Cheers is getting rained out, but I think pizza and strawberry margaritas will do nicely. :) tgif!!

Morning, er, Evening, Purgs!

Blond, I'm sure WD and I can cover our two B&N's in Northern UT ;)

Also, Sunna's smiley ftw! :D

Congrats to little Steve!

Go Ink! (I loved that book as well. :D)

And someone mentioned drinks? I'd be good with that. ;)

Not much here, I slept in (by accident, but that's okay, because I had barely three hours of sleep yesterday or the couple days before that. ;)). Dyed my hair (I swear, the light at the bathroom at work is cruel to my roots) and now I'm contemplating cooking and reading over the MS so it can go out to betas in a few days. Thanks for all the yays everyone. Kind of needed them. :LilLove::heart:

You mean five. There's the one in Layton, Bountiful, Gateway, Sugar House, and West Jordan. That I know of. There might be more. *ponders*

B&N tour! Whoo! That actually sounds like a lot of fun. :D
