Seriously. Jarmans are very bakeward in this regard.

Without air-conditioning it would be too hot to pea.

I can't even wear pants anymore!

Wait...

...I mean, I'm still not wearing any pants!

Sometimes I'm amazed at the skillet takes to come up with these puns.

ROAR :D

PS. G'night!

Not that hot here, but hot enough 103 today, the other day it was 106. Last year it was 111, so we're getting cooler.

Someone stick a fork in me, I'm done.

It can be miserable when it's this hot, but even worse is that it's dangerous. Every year that is at least one news story about some isolated old person who dies because they didn't have any way to cool off. No one should have to die like that.

Sorry. Back to more cheerful things . . .

It's definitely dry for us.

I saw a news promo earlier where one city here is banning outdoor grilling. I'm not sure what that's about; I don't think I've ever heard of that. Every town around here has now banned amateur fireworks on the Fourth; not that it will stop anyone.

You must have never read the book by W. Somerset Maugham, Cakes and Kale.

At home fireworks haven't been legal since the 70s here, not even sparklers, which I used to love. Of course, you get the fruitcakes smuggling them across the border, and those are almost guaranteed to blow a limb off. I remember going to Las Vegas a number of years ago around the 4th and gaping at the firework booths everywhere. Strange.

They banned all the professional firework shows here last year bc of the drought and wildfires. Not sure if they're having any this year or not. Fireworks for sale or use in the city have been illegal for a few years now, though people still risk the hefty fine and fire them all over the place. I think last year was the only year that I didn't hear or see any.

I have to work eleven hours on the 4th, so no bbq's for me.

Hey AC, can you find me a red, white, and blue dragon? And schmoo me? No Barney, he's a dinosaur. :p
