Marya and Jude - nicely done!

I did nothing today. I've spent most of the day on teh internetz just totally wasting time. I have no excuse except that I had some office stuff to catch up on and it left me feeling all out-of-sorts and irrelevant.

Someone will have to tell me I'm relevant, or I may never write again.

Wordcount: zilch. Not even a negative number. Just - zilch.

*sob*

mccardy, you are very relevant! Never think otherwise. :Hug2:

Have you been reading "Dilbert" again? :dire:

I'm afraid the only cure is "Calvin and Hobbes". :e2bouncey

Ouch. Synopsis this afternoon, I think the first I have ever written. Ouch writing it, ouch getting it down to two pages, ouch rewriting it twice in an afternoon, just ouch. I think I have discovered a new "least favorite thing about writing." And I know it isn't nearly done! Moannnnn.

Editing this morning was much nicer. Jeepers.

Kicking Butt, HJ! I can see I'm going to have to kick it into high gear this weekend. I do my best work on the WIP when I don't have to go to the "day job".

Only mangage 430 tonight after the "day job". Not as awsome as HJ, but I'll take them, and I did break 6k. :D

You're welcome HJ.

I am pacing myself for the sprint at the end of the month. ;)

+620 for today.

That's the net from editing six scenes on two different projects.

:) Mccardey :Hug2: You are so very relevant!

I was stuck - had my mc going in circles. I needed a map of where she was, which I have now drawn. Circles are no longer an option!

Waving across continents to the oh-so-relevant mccardey!

Latest word count is 1 890, on a roll

Lorna, when you are ready post or email that seamlessly crafted synopsis and I will leap on it and tear it to pieces like a well-intentioned wolf. Trust me, that is the way forward, you're too close to the material and a wolf just crunches up the spurious or untelling detail between her teeth.

Muddled metaphors, anyone?

I finished the revisions on another chapter and wrote a scene for my short story (213 words). Still behind my goal since I want to set it aside for a week and edit it before I send it off to the publisher. But today is my day off so there's hope I'll catch up.

The day's editing. I'm frustrated that I can't seem to do more, but when I start reading rather than revising, I know it's time to shut it down for the day. Morning is my best/clearest-minded time, and I can't get a second session going--I've tried. Good news is, this character's POV should be done by tomorrow.

With all the relevant support (thank you, possums) I managed 630 today which was fun because there was one of the neck-prickling moments when you realise Oh this is what that was for!

I love those moments :)

That's it for today though, because it takes me to th end of one of Tess's chapters and I can start (and hopefully finish) tomorrow with Luke. Who is much less fragile. At the moment, anyway...

mccardey, you are so relevant that the world may have to stop turning until you write again! Marya's and heyjude's word counts may stop its turning anyway!

A day off work and I'm annihilating my backlog of edits and writing assignments. :yessmiley Lucie Smoker, Word Ninja

A special kindly granny editor for mccardey, who is more relevant than she can imagine. :granny:

Great news on the word counts everyone, but especially HJ. Now your butt is in gear, who knows what will happen.;)

A measly 249 words for me so far today. I've taken a break because I've written the same line twelve times and ended up putting the original line back in.:Headbang:

The great state of wonder.
1,050 today before work. Doubt I'll get any writing done afterward, but maybe.

And it was on WIP #1, nonetheless. I've been stuck on it for a while, but I'm always amused at how reading parts of it can re-inspire me. There are some sections that remind me I can write well and this story isn't completely terrible. So this morning I looked it over and got my juices flowing again, and fleshed out two scenes that had been giving me trouble. I feel accomplished. Now if only I can do this again six or seven times, I can probably finish this first draft.

First, congratulations all on the progress
Second, I commiserate with everyone who battles to get to their goals :Hug2:

My week was a mess. Had to deal with a family crisis, which left me tapped. Finally got round to WIP yesterday and made an outline of the scenes. Spotted a few holes and am toying with ways to plug them.

Got a big fat nothing yesterday, and looked to have a repeat performance today but in the last hour I've gotten out 1,236 words.

Not great, but considering I did 0 for most of my day and the entire day before it, I call it progress.

Nicely done everyone! We're seeing some serious progress for this month. I like it! :D

For me, 829 today.

Nothing special, I know, but I have to keep it close so my sprint to victory at the end is not quite so difficult. ;)

GREAT counts Logan, heyjude, Reservoir, and Doc! mccardey, I saw this LL Cool J tweet and thought of you:
Being considered relevant has become cliche. It's all a matter of opinion. Either your winning or your not...
I have learned to just love Twitter. And I rewrote my problem scene. 1197 words, but since I took out the old draft, I don't think it changed the word count much. Still, I'm caught up on revisions -- yay!

Of course I'm expecting the next five chapters to arrive anytime now. To get ready, I'm cleaning this computer room. Too many old ideas lying around in here. I may even change out the art.

!

Well heavens! Who would have thought?

I'm starting terribly late today but I'm hoping to get well into the next chapter. I'm getting quite attached to the book now - it seems to be coming on nicely :)

Doc, 829 would do me ;)

Welcome home, Jude :Sun:

Ken - hope you slept well... Sleep is my favourite thing.

Today is edit day crossed with huge re-write to get rid of circles!

Hope every one is well and writing.

HJ good you are home. Now gag the family and settle to writing.

Mccardey (still relevant) pleased the book is coming along nicely. I wish that was catching.

Doc 829 is a nice number. If I do that many today it will be my favourite number.

I hate my keyboard! Every now and then the v will not work and the q key has stopped completely - I have to cut and paste it. Now the one/exclamation key has stopped as well. Sigh, time for a new keyboard! Oh look the bloody thing is working again! yep, threaten the keyboard with recycling and it decided to work. Except the q.

Awesome wordage, Marya!

Toss the keyboard, Shakesbear. It had its chance. :Hammer:

Thanks, mccardy. I had a good nights rest and at it this morning. Had to wipe out 185 of the words I wrote after work, they were GARBAGE! %$*@# (Excuse the language.) The good news is, I replaced those 185 garbage words with 745 AWESOME words. :D

I have some errands to run today, but I will definitely get more words later

ETA: Postponed the errands and glad I did. Kelli got talkative and I got an additional 512 words on the WIP! Subtotal for the day, 1257 words!:hooray:
