WANT!

As a matter of fact I do own a towel that says that! :D

*starts mad snorpling session with Lily*

And yes, I probably could include a kitten in every post, but I'm sure those with slower internet will thank me if I don't? :)

In other news, I shall spend the rest of the day in my nerdy PJ's, because it's hot out and my blood-thinners only will cause my brain to leak out of my ears again if I do, so there. Day in perfectly justified. The Feline Overlords approve.

ETA: Sorry, Tas. :tongue

I think it's booze o'clock. What happened to the bar anyway? It's covered in uh, well, I don't want to get too close and find out. People need stop washing their underwear in the sink, and let's leave it at that.

This place is going to hell, I tell ya.

Yeah, recent heat has Scrapper constantly in front of either the AC flow or a fan. Poor chubby kitty with too much fur gets so uncomfortable in summer. He didn't sleep well yesterday until after dark.

For some reason, your scenario above made me immediately think of True Blood. (hubby and I just got past the demon orgy scene in season two. o_O)

Whose hand is that?

i think you meant handS? haha!

haupe, so glad bub is okay.
Freak Accidents are the worst because
that is so "the short end of the straw" scenario.
i went to look at both bubs' bikes as they
both bought new ones recently. no hand brakes,
but they do have the clown horns at the front.

so scary the things that can happen.
(which would be ANYTHING.)

blondie, no worries. Fluevogs can also
be socialist shoes. ;*)

Hola Purgies

Thanks for all the welcomes.

Dang this thread moves fast. I did a quick skim, oohing and ahhing over a new cover I saw (liked that they all matched fontwise, all nice and purty) and quick copy of this, which I loved:

It's an uphill climb. You may be learning lessons that don't show up for a while.
QFT!!

Prepping my MS to submit to another publisher at the end of this week. Unless I hear from publisher #1 by then, they are now rejected by me! (picture a mouse shaking its fist at a sleeping lion) It's now second promised response date X +2. And this wasn't a fly by night publisher either, but there's some corporate upheaval going on. Bad timing on my part, poor communication on theirs = Fail.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting on a cover from another publisher who is an absolute JOY to work with and very responsive.

Hello all. $#$# dog got into the trash last night (he NEVER does this) and I'm running off to the vet because he's been sick and it turns out he ate several CORN COBS, which if they lodge can be fatal. Anticipating an expensive afternoon.

((((phoenix's dog)))))

and kisses at all the cute kitten pix posted.

I wrote a ten point list of my worst fears about submitting in preparation for Qing and made myself laugh with it.

Maryn, at my place, I AM the dishwasher. But sometimes I forget to start me.

hi lorna! i don't think i've seen you poke
in before? welcome!

phoenix, that is the worst. hope it's not
too bad for you and doglet. =(

i also hand wash our dishes. in fact, when we
remodeled the kitchen, hub and i were reluctant
to get a dishwasher. but the designer talked us
into it. we got a "drawer" one instead of the full--
which, ironically, is much more expensive than a
full dishwasher.

go figure!

(being immigrants, neither hub or i grew up
using dish washers at home. in fact, mil hand washed
ALL FAMILY CLOTHES until recently. crazy.)

Oh, hugs to Phoenix and her dog.

Lorna, if you can laugh about querying, you're in good shape. It's scary stuff.

*hugs* for phoenix's puppeh

I can't see the kitten pics at work  I hope to squee over them tonight sometime.

If you want a total SQUEE overdose, C3lina Summ3rs has been posting a photo album on FB of her new kitteh, Odin. As in, from day 3 or so when his eyes weren't really open. You will DIE from the adorableness. Die, I tell you.

((((Phoenix)))) (((Phoenix doggy)))) Hope he'll be okay. We haven't had one of our own dogs have surgery for bowel obstruction (yet), but one of the puppies we bred did (I think for eating pantyhose?) and it's really common among Ridgebacks in general.

So lemme tell you about the time one of our cats ate an entire bird, including the head, and when he ralphed that part up I was sure he was bleeding internally... till I saw the eyes and beak in the mess.

 Cats are supposed to be smart, right? As in, not eat pointy things that will hurt them. Riiight.

I think it's time for a group hug. :e2grouphu
*snuggles way in to the center*

((((Phoenix)))) I hope he's okay. I wish they knew what was bad for them.

Welcome, Lorna! :hi:

I'm pretty sure I repped everything else. See you later.
