Thanks. :)

There won't be rewrites. I'm happy with how it reads right now.

But yes, there shall be edits. That can wait till tomorrow, I think.

I've spent so much time getting this book finished these last 5 days that I don't know what to do with myself right now...

A great accomplishment, indeed! Maybe you should go skinny dipping. Oh wait, it's like winter there, and there's probably crocs...could be exhilirating, though. :D

LOL. I've been skinny-dipping before. There weren't any crocs, though.

I'm sort of tempted to keep my momentum going, and work on a different novel for a few hours...

I'm torn between that, and reading a book. I have a book that I read the first chapter of before these last 5 days. I haven't touched it since, because I was so focussed on my own novel.

I don't know...

I'm also tempted to have a nap. :tongue

:D I'm going to work on my novel a bit tonight. Not much further to go before I'm done with the draft, I just need to rein these people in and get to the dang ending. :D

geez, I see that one of the newbies from this morning has already been banned. huh. that was quick.

The end of mine happened sooner than I was expecting. Turns out that once you've spent a bloody long time building up to an ending, the pacing needs the end to be fairly quick. I hope, anyway, cause that's what happened. :tongue

And yeah, if it's the newbie I think it is, I'm pretty sure he was banned from here once before, and SK remembered him.

He seemed pretty annoying, though, so I don't mind. :tongue

lol! Yeah, SK didn't seem to like him much. I wasn't sure what that was all about, but now it makes sense if he'd been banned before. I trust SK's judgement anyway. ;)

I think JVC was getting a bit "WTF?" as well, before SK showed up. :tongue

Maybe it was a Mod conspiracy? JVC was batting the poor troll around with mighty dragon claws, then kicked him over to SK for the hangman's noose?

There's a novel in there somewhere, I'm sure of it. :tongue

*sends pie*

I don't have any dessert on hand... A little bit of chocolate, but nothing really decadent. And I can't be stuffed walking to the shops right now.

Maybe you should buy you a pie while you're out shopping. And something for you, like a new book or something.

Yes, pie for everyone!

The local specialty is called a Pie Floater. Basically, it's a standard Australian meat pie (meat bits, gravy, wrapped in pastry) with some tomato sauce on top, floating in a bowl of pea soup.

Yeah, you heard me. Ick!

I've never had the guts to try one. But it reminds me of words of wisdom from Dylan Moran in one of his stand-up DVDs.

"When you go to the country, they all want you to eat the local food. Don't. It's shit. That's why it's local." :D (Paraphrased.)

And NF, I don't need any more books. :tongue I only just got below 30 books in my TBR pile.

I'd like some Pringles. :)

Ugh. I have tomato-flavoured rice cakes in front of me. Why did I think they'd taste good? They're alright... But I should've got BBQ or salt and vinegar.

do rice cakes mean something different there? because, yanno, that just doesn't sound good at all.

Rice cakes here seem to be big circles of cooked and puffy rice, held together somehow. They're thicker than potato chips, but not really very thick. Kind of like a McDonalds beef patty in size, I guess. And then one side has a dusting of flavour.

They usually taste pretty good. I mean, I like rice. And they have some nice flavours. But the tomato ones are just kind of... meh.

yep, sounds like the same thing. I don't believe I've seen any with flavor, though. I think they're just plain and have a texture like cardboard. But it's been a while since I tried one.
