:hi: oh, sparkly one! :)

So, whose having a good weekend? Anyone done anything fun and exciting?

I worked all weekend. :( It was not fun or exciting, nor worth the pay. I should've gotten drunk before I went in.

Here, there, everywhere.
It's monday and I did the Flash Fiction Challenge last night. Which means I need coffee.

Lots of it.

I have two erotica shorts I need to write until the end of the month for a portuguese anthology. I think that's going to call for more than coffee. :e2thud:

Very smooth dragon!
She is damn awesome for certain. Though rest assured, she may melt hearts...but I'll be the one to crush them. :D Thank you, everyone, for your lovely comments and welcoming me back!
I'm damned determined this is going to be an awesome and productive week. *puts on determined face*
 Who am I kidding? I just want to survive the week!

Ooh, the FFC, not done that in a while. I may have to give it a go next week. Although, does it involve, yer knows, that thingy? What's it called? oh yeah, writing!

Is it keeping you up all night? If so, have you tried lots and lots of drink. You'll be out like a light, and she can cry as much as she wants to. :D

Second post and I was wondering where I could ask this (and get a virtual beer):

I've been working on my novel's outline and character descriptions at work. Some times when my Gmail account won't work, I'd get desperate and *eep* email the work to myself from my company email account.

Yes, stupid. I know.

My question: Could I get in trouble for this? Some of my family seems to think someone could see it and steal it...is that true?

Sigh. I'll take a cold Guinness if you have one....

I'm drowning myself in coffee. Some day I might stoop to the level of taking a coffee bath...I'm so close as it is. Sigh, I have to watch my caffeine intake with breast-feeding though.
And to think, I've made three gorgeous kiddos. Three!
OMG I have three kids...Oh nooooo what am I going to do? ;)
Same thing I do every day, try to take over the world. Or worlds, big and small.

Actually "it" sleeps through the night...I fear my insomnia is coming back though. I have the urge to wake her up and play with her during the night though...I don't, I'm a good mommy like that, I let them sleep!

It's actually not a stupid question. Depending on your company and the work that you do...you could:
1. Get into trouble for working on it while at your place of work.
2. Depending on the company, your contract with them and their regulations of company computers may lose your work to them. As in your work is now theirs.
3. Emailing things to yourself is tricky and liable to issues. Trust me on this, I lost almost all of my work through this route when my computer crashed I thought it was fine and still there...it wasn't all still there.

So my advice...look into the company rules and regs on computer usage and everything. Save your work to Google documents or some kind of internet-based document file system. Good luck and welcome to AW and the pub.
And here's a Guinness. Help yourself to anything...we have it all!

Sending coffee your way Greenie. I missed ya and rest of the gang. Been focusing on my children's book series. Have 4 small books done and working on 5th. I also have someone that wants to help me "Get it out there" and has some heavy duty contacts. So trying my best to get that 5th book done so I can send the series to him on cd so he can have his brother aka lawyer make sure I'm covered before taking it to his contact.

So here to meeting deadlines and such.
Love ya all

Oh, fine.
I won't die.
I'll just sit here and drink lots and lots of water. With ice.
Lots of water and ice.
In front of a fan, on high, with lots of water and ice.
While watching a toddler drift to sleep while playing (so cute), and silently chanting "Sleep! Sleep! Sleep!"; in front of a fan on high, with lots of water and ice.

(Okay, so I'm a little sleepy, coffee would still be nice!)

So, want to know something hilarious? Sitting in a non-heated cabin in Canada on the middle of a frozen lake, freezing you're butt off while ice fishing. The best part? I live in Michigan, and it's Summer.

Oh how I am glad to be back! :e2woo:

I think I could use a Baileys to recover from that vacation. :e2drunk:

Oh, before I get too drunk on Baileys:

Hello Greeny, I'm new here so you haven't met me, but I just wanted to welcome you back. You have an adorable little girl there. :)

Here, have a baileys, A.M. sounds like you could use one or two.

A lot of companies will fire you if they find out you've been using work computers for your own personal use. My company has zero tolerance on that. But I'm pretty sure that they don't want your stories.

Welcome to AW, btw. :hi:

Hello!
Wow, it has been so long since I've been considered a 'newb' on the interwebs.
Anyway, I'm Sol. New to the site--but not to writing. Looking for help, advice and support on the novel(s) I'm working on. Any takers, PM me! Thanks ;)

This site is amazing. I dipped my toe in another writing forum--totally different, very cold, very unwelcoming. But I luvs it here. Friendly, helpful peephole.

Breath, it will be okay, your work is YOUR work. But you can get into a lot of trouble with it. I've only heard of some very odd, strange cases where companies have tried to get claim...not of the work itself but the fact that you are "making money" on their time. Use caution, and I'd suggest working on it at home.
Hello Greeny, I'm new here so you haven't met me, but I just wanted to welcome you back. You have an adorable little girl there. :)
Welcome Emerson! I hope you like it here as much as we do.

Welcome Sol, if you ever need help I'm among those odd people that are better at helping others than myself. :tongue If you need help or anything go ahead and PM me. You will find many people here willing to swap "kicks in the rear" for the purposes of writing and pushing forward. Good luck (though luck has little to do with it) so...Good Penning in your writing adventures!

GPR, I have no better nickname yet. This site is very nice. I think it says something that even after long breaks from writing or just the site that many come back including myself. I agree with Sara, there are many writing communities online, but this one stands out and above in almost all (if not all) cases.
A "hi" to all newbies, welcome to the pub and AW! Have a drink on me...it should be vodka. ;)

Also a newb. Also feeling odd being a newb at my age. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. And now I'm going to get a glass of red wine and sit in the corner and listen hard and smile nervously.

Hi Mrsmig! Welcome to AW and the pub. I think people should be a newbie at any age. There are so many wonderful new things out there in the world that we truly can't or shouldn't go one day with out feeling like a newbie for something. But that's just me extolling life and the adventures one should have. :tongue
