So, whose having a good weekend? Anyone done anything fun and exciting?

Who am I kidding? I just want to survive the week!Ooh, the FFC, not done that in a while. I may have to give it a go next week. Although, does it involve, yer knows, that thingy? What's it called? oh yeah, writing! It's monday and I did the Flash Fiction Challenge last night. Which means I need coffee.
Lots of it.
Ooooh yeah babyVery smooth dragon!
Is it keeping you up all night? If so, have you tried lots and lots of drink. You'll be out like a light, and she can cry as much as she wants to.I'm damned determined this is going to be an awesome and productive week. *puts on determined face*

Second post and I was wondering where I could ask this (and get a virtual beer):
I've been working on my novel's outline and character descriptions at work. Some times when my Gmail account won't work, I'd get desperate and *eep* email the work to myself from my company email account.
Yes, stupid. I know.
My question: Could I get in trouble for this? Some of my family seems to think someone could see it and steal it...is that true?
Sigh. I'll take a cold Guinness if you have one....
The best part? I live in Michigan, and it's Summer.

Quite smooth...
It's actually not a stupid question. Depending on your company and the work that you do...you could:
1. Get into trouble for working on it while at your place of work.
2. Depending on the company, your contract with them and their regulations of company computers may lose your work to them. As in your work is now theirs.
3. Emailing things to yourself is tricky and liable to issues. Trust me on this, I lost almost all of my work through this route when my computer crashed I thought it was fine and still there...it wasn't all still there.
So my advice...look into the company rules and regs on computer usage and everything. Save your work to Google documents or some kind of internet-based document file system. Good luck and welcome to AW and the pub.
And here's a Guinness. Help yourself to anything...we have it all!

Breath, it will be okay, your work is YOUR work. But you can get into a lot of trouble with it. I've only heard of some very odd, strange cases where companies have tried to get claim...not of the work itself but the fact that you are "making money" on their time. Use caution, and I'd suggest working on it at home.So if my work is now theirs, now what? *reaches for paper bag* Does this mean I should stop working on it? And why is Google failing me? I can't find answers to this!! *starts breathing heavily in it*

Welcome Sol, if you ever need help I'm among those odd people that are better at helping others than myself.Hello!
Wow, it has been so long since I've been considered a 'newb' on the interwebs.
Anyway, I'm Sol. New to the site--but not to writing. Looking for help, advice and support on the novel(s) I'm working on. Any takers, PM me! Thanks![]()
If you need help or anything go ahead and PM me. You will find many people here willing to swap "kicks in the rear" for the purposes of writing and pushing forward. Good luck (though luck has little to do with it) so...Good Penning in your writing adventures! This site is amazing. I dipped my toe in another writing forum--totally different, very cold, very unwelcoming. But I luvs it here. Friendly, helpful peephole.
