Smile How's my blog?

I started my blog around November 2011... but only started seriously posting from January and up.

It's like an account of my day and things I've stumbled upon and don't want to forget.

Recently, the posting's slowed down, but that's because I'm currently on holiday where I get the computer to myself very rarely (today's one of those glorious days!). A new post will go up soon, though.

So anything you like or hate? I'm also trying to find a new theme...but I'm on the free version of Wordpress so it's kinda hard. A few people have told me my background is too bright, but every new background I upload looks like a swish in hell.

Thanks!

Hi Lidiya,

I have been to your blog and perused through it.

Content: Even though your topics are very sporadic, you manage it all very well. Obviously you are doing something right since you have a decent amount of followers (compared to me you do. I consider your number to be high.)

Design: I don't like the background because it reminds me of a rotten candy cane lol. But I like your sidebar panel. Everything is organized and cohesive, so that is good.

Your type of blog is very unique, and it is hard to say how to improve it. Just keep on keeping on.

I will follow you.

Thank you so much! I seriously need to change the background, I know, a lot of people have been telling me; I just don't know where to get a good one from, every one I try doesn't fit :/

Backgrounds can be tricky, it's usually best to have something fairly basic that doesn't distract the eye.

It's not bad for a day-to-day life blog, which aren't my favourites (though I do like the blogess, because it's funny) - the posts are clear and coherent and interesting.

I didn't think starting a new thread would be a good idea since I can just carry on from here, so sorry for bumping an old thread, but... I've changed the background and a few other things. How does my blog look now?

With my screen size I get half a cupcake on the right. IMHO just plain polka dots might be better.

Thanks for the tip -- I'll remove that cupcake as soon as possible (anyone wanna eat it for me?).

I think seamless repeating designs are the safest given all the different settings people have.

Yeah, I used to have a Christmassy design around December and it looked great on my computer, but my computer's old and on other ones it looked horrible.
