Yes, it could have been placed there but I felt it should be somewhere where newbs may have a better chance of seeing it.

A lot of new users end up here and I have seen other posts that weren't strictly introductions.

If you feel its misplaced, please report the thread, maybe it will get moved.

Though, even in the announcement forums, the posts I singled out will still be out of place
