I just listened to an hour of relatively respectful debate (on parliament TV)... but even some of our most conservative politicians have come out in favour of the bill.
It was pretty clear from the start that it was going to pass. After the votes were counted, the gallery sang one of our most beautiful songs, about two lovers separated by water who remain steadfast.

I'm in tears right now. I'm so looking forward to the flood of photos in four months time when the paperwork goes through and the weddings commence.

Yeah, there was never any real doubt that it would pass, but I'm glad it did. Like you, have been following the coverage tonight.
