Hi all!

I'm thrilled to be here. I found this place some time back, but had forgotten about it. By some stroke of luck, I found it again and decided to join after taking a brief look around.

I'm a small town farm girl from Iowa and a part time library assistant at my local library. I've been writing for as long as I remember, but have yet to actually publish anything in the realm of fiction. I'm working to remedy that, but I know I still have a lot to learn before that day comes. I'm good with beginning and ends, but the middles are always a muddle. So I have switched my attention from novels to short stories in the hope of strengthening my writing.

Anyway! You can call me Dragon Lady, DL, or even by Nicole, which is the name I use for writing articles on AC. I answer to any of the three.

I can't wait to get to know everyone here.

I doubt you would have wanted to be here last night. We had tornadoes up the ying yang all over the state. None touched down near my hometown that I know of, but we sure had a lot of wind, rain, and hail. But it wouldn't be Iowa without unpredictible weather, would it? Lol. At least it wasn't another snow storm like we got in the early days of May this year.
