Ha ha! I can cook, and Italian hospitality flows like a mountain stream. Small place though, pretty full. But if you have a killer melktert recipe, I'll sell my kids to make space.

No-one speaks the language of food-love quite like the Italians! I'm thinking: Seared pork medallions done porchetta-style and with marsala mushroom sauce with a home-made tiramisu for dessert.
As soon as my head clears a little from these antibiotics, I'm going to make some apple pie or apple strudel. There seems to be too many apples here.

Do you have cranberries there? An apple pie made with cranberries is a interesting variation on the typical apple pie. The cranberries add a bit of tartness.
Well, I officially have my first 'hater' (not on AW) in the writing community. That sucks, but I guess it happens. This individual actually went to the point of naming me on his personal Fb page. That is SO not RYFW. I'm now ignoring it.
Now, I'm going to brag a moment, 'cause I'm so thrilled!
On the fab side...I received an email from a gal last night. Apparently, my publisher was at the SWF on a panel of guest speakers. The room was sold out. Each of the panelist were asked to name an upcoming book they were super stoked about. Kate mentioned mine. I couldn't believe it when I read the email from an individual who was at the festival, and just happened to recognize the name of my book (that's awesome in itself) and decided to politely let me know (or happy dance all over my house, to the point Kid 3 laughed her butt off, and told me she was going to video it and place it on YouTube - to which I quickly stopped ). Anyway, I'm done bragging now. But I'm not done being super happy!
