Thanks all.

My question actually is not about a particular genre. This is my question, and may be you can direct me to a good place:

I am writing a novel under a pseudonym because (having been a law professor and attorney for many years) I write many articles and non-fiction scholarly writings, and I want to keep my name clearly divided between the two types of writing for the sake of reputation. For example, how serious would people take Stephen King writing a treatise on religion? My question is about how important this may be, any experiences or points of view, or other comments about splitting pseudonyms between areas of writing.

Anyplace where there's a discussion on this kind of topic?

I believe there is a discussion about pseudonyms entitled Pen Names? over in the Writing Novels section, which is the third forum down from the very top of the main page.

I hope this helps, and welcome to the Water Cooler.

:)
