Beta reader for Chapter One of contemporary / YA / literary fiction

Well, some people say it's YA.

What I would like is for someone to read the first chapter, approx 4.4k words.

What I would like to see is:

1) If the MC comes through - he's a bit hard to start
2) If he comes across as engaging
3) If you'd read the rest

I does contain some pretty strong language, and there's violence. The setting is London, in an imaginary council estate in Southwark.

I don't need a language crit (unless you really want to give me that!)

I would of course be willing to do some quid quo pro if you have something along the same lines in your coffers that need a check-out.
