Huge congrats, Soapy!
:thankyou:

Thank you. :D

God, I just had to get that story out of my head. These characters, their story, they've been with me since 2009. :e2thud:

I went to bed last night and they actually *weren't* on my mind. They had finally told me everything. It was...odd.

Today, I am not totally consumed with solving their problems, without fixing them and their world.

I think I've read the damn thing so many times I know it by heart. You know how that is? Like when you've seen a movie SO many times you can recite the lines along with the actors. :tongue I used to be able to do that with a few movies when I was a kid/teen.

Yes! But writing 'The End' is SUCH a great feeling. Is this the first draft?
Um...no. It's, like, the 7th.
It's at the point now, though, where I can't even see all the issues. I need someone else to point them out. If there are more than I think there are, I'm just going to put it away and work on something else. It was more to gain the experience of seeing something large (100k) through to the end and practice crafting something with a plot, subplots, and all the detail a novel needs that a short story doesn't.
You know you'll need a beta a some point, right? (yes, that was a hint *grin*)
:tongue I might save you for the "good" one. I don't want to burn your eyes with this one and make you useless for future beta reads.

Thanks, guys. :D

I *almost* had a beer. :tongue

Mostly, I celebrated by NOT thinking about my characters. And that was really celebration enough. It felt really, really good.

Though, this morning, I have to admit, I feel a little lost. Like I don't know what to work on...
Not that I'm short on things to do, I'm not.

But it's the deciding...

Almost... How do you almost have a beer? You either do or do not. *is confused*

You should be celebrating. :)

People are always threatening to write me into things...

If you do, make sure I get a good death scene. :D
