Do magazines and websites that specialize in flash fiction make good money?

Not according to my research. More often the best payment is a copy in which your work appears.

There are many paying markets for FF on the Web. Some of them pay by the word others a fixed rate per story. Some only in copy.

A bit of a sweeping statement.

Places like Daily Science Fiction, Flash Fiction Online and many others pay 5c/word or more for flash and publish a lot of it, so they must be making money.
