Well, you'll have time to catch up since it won't be back on until October. :(

I saw Bag of Bones by Stephen King in the Redbox yesterday. I think I'll rent it tomorrow. I read the book but haven't seen the movie.

You can also rent The Walking Dead from the Redbox. The whole first season on one disc for a $1. :)

I was not impressed with the movie. In part I think it was miscast, in part it started too slow, and I may simply have given up on it too soon, but I couldn't finish it.

Not expecting much, really. The movies are usually a very bad representation of the book. Even more so with King's books for some reason.

I actually like a lot of the movies based on King's books.

Probably more than I liked/would like the books in most cases.

Really? I did like that one...um...Storm of the Century, I think that's the name of it. But most of them I find that my imagination pulls them off much better than the movies can.

I find this depends on the book, and the movie. Pet Semetery was a very poorly done movie, but a lot of the miniseries that ABC did back in the day were good.

I like the mini-series Shining better than the Kubrick one, for much the same reasons King himself isn't fond of the Kubrick version.

Hi guys.

I went on a roadtrip to the river with a couple of friends. Plus, I finally got access to a thumbdrive that has a bunch of my work on it. I'm really excited to see it again after letting it rest for a while like that. It's like seeing it for the first time in a way. Thus far, I'm learning that I need to give myself more credit as a writer and acknowledge that I need to work harder at editing.

Oh, and I'm gonna watch the re-run of Walking Dead in about 20 minutes. Wee!

Up at the house.
Had a great service at church this evening. Would have gotten on here sooner, but I sat outside with the Missus enjoying the weather and talking.

Morning, Blunt. :)

How's everyone doing today? Its beautiful, cool and sunny here right now. The birds actually woke me up with their tweeting this morning. Its been a while since that's happened. :)

Morning everyone! Hope Monday is as painless as possible.

Bag of Bones is probably my favorite King book, but I never thought it'd make a good transition to screen. Too bad it sounds like that's the concensus. :/ (It's also on Netflix Instant.)

I just got my first page proofs ever! I'm excited and nervous. Heh.

Lovely, Abby.

Oh--speaking of birds, apparently was have a falcon that has taken up shop in our backyard. A real one! :snoopy: not the plastic one we bought at the hardware store. :D Which means maybe we can get our squirrel problem under control.

Sorry, Allie. :(

So, I was considering going shopping today. Have some things I have to get, but then I just kind of feel the need for new clothes, too.

But then I also have to do the taxes.

And I'm uncertain if I'll feel more like shopping after doing the taxes, or possibly less like shopping. Depends on the end result.

Congrats, Tumble! That's so exciting!

Hope you feel better, Allie. :(

Falcons are so beautiful, Soapy! We have a 'famous' falcon nest on top of one of the banks here in Fargo. People go downtown all the time to try and snap a picture of the birds sitting on the tops of all the old buildings and the businesses. They're such majestic birds.

Ah, that sucks - I used to get ear infections all the time. An old doc in FL recommended a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water drops after getting water in my ears. Haven't had a problem since. I've used the same solution with my kids - they've never had an ear infection.

I hope your first day back goes ad smoothly as possible Allie.
