21-day personal R from DSF. The story has been getting good feedback, so maybe it will have better luck at the next market.
I guess I've got to aim for a personalised rejection now.
Also, some markets only give personals when there's a legitimate problem with the piece that they feel like commenting on, whereas a perfectly written story may be form R'ed because it's flawless but unsuitable.It;s important to remember that whether the rejection is form or personal does not always reflect on the quality of your work, or how close it came to being bought.
And some markets also give form acceptances.

Heh, you joke but I know that there have been times, usually after a long slew of rejections, where my first response to an acceptance letter is "What kind of sick joke is this?"
