I sent them an email saying I received an offer elsewhere and they sent back a nice email congratulating me. Seem like they'd be decent people to work with.

Received a form rejection on Feb 21st

Sorry to hear that Waylander! At least it was prompt, though. Small consolation, I know, but I hate waiting around. BTW, they sent me an e-mail after I withdrew my mss and wished me all the best with the other publisher. I'll definitely submit to them again in the future. I'm thinking to wait and see what their catalogue is like in the Autumn as it should give a better idea of what they are after.

i've gone for it too. like Pisco, i've already used Submittable once ("in progress") & i'll let you know what happens for data...

Sorry for the potential thread Necromancy, but has everyone that's submitted to Simon451 gotten a response of some sort?

I sent them something 03/05/2014 and didn't get a yeah or nay. It's in "Review" status on Submittable.

mine still only says "Received".

so... at this point, i'm thinking they're non-responders. i don't like that.

I got a response when I informed them I had accepted an offer from another publisher. They basically just said, "Congrats and good luck." Otherwise, I probably would have never heard from them.

Got a no, not for us. From the way it was written they had obviousy read the sample chapters, but didn't want to see more.

A bit of a bummer, but onwards.
