Just finished Fight Club. I was wondering how the author was goign to end it. Way better ending than I could have come up with. Can't say anything else without ruining it for anyone who hasn't read it yet.

Next up: The Spy Who Came in From the Cold

Just finished Child of God by Cormac McCarthy for the umpteenth time. It's one of my favorite books of all time.

Now, I'm starting Provinces of Night by William Gay, which ironically starts with a quote from Child of God. Anyway, it's a great southern gothic novel as well... Made a great movie, too (called Blood Worth, starring Kris Kristofferson).

All the Pretty Hearses, by Mary Daheim. Before that, about the sixth reading, with pencil in hand, of Behind the Badge: Thirty Years of Working the Streets, by Mike Garner (retired cop). [Ok, proof reading ... I am publishing it.]

I'm reading Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I have followed her blog for a while and thought I'd pick the book up at some point.

I'm halfway through Gone at Zero Hundred by C R Hiatt. Not my usual read, but I'm enjoying it. I love how Kindle gives me the chance to try books I wouldn't usually read!

I can't believe I can't find this thread, is there really no "what are you reading" thread???

I just picked up Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I'm 10 pages in and captivated.

Hi jennifer75,

Good choice of topic! Right now I am reading Plato, The Collected Dialogues, edited by Edith Hamilton and Huntington Cairns.

The Birth of Tragedy by Nietzsche. Also going to start Man and Superman by George Bernard Shaw at some point in the near future.
