um...I'm pretty sure that chimps don't live in Africa...well actually they do, but not where I'm watching...or if they are I've never seen one, but it'd be something if a chimp came along and bit an elephant's face off.

It's 6 a.m in Africa and the monkeys have just come out to play. And to pick bugs off of each other...and maybe fling poo.

I have insomnia again tonight and have been up since 2:30. Hopefully this anxiety can subside and I can actually get some rest.
Less time on the cam. More time reading up. Or at least watching Nat Geo.
No chimps in Africa... sheesh.

Fortunately I was able to sleep *without* dreams of angry cats. It would seem that if I talk about them before bed, it doesn't trigger the nightmares.
I think it's because they like to sneak up behind me when I least expect them. The nightmares, not the angry cats.

Monkeys suck, so do chimps and apes. The whole primate group outside of humans sucks. I'm glad we don't have any of those in Wisconsin because it's too cold for them.

I have to disagree.
That monkeys suck or that Wisconsin is too cold for them?
Orangs are pretty cool, though, and quite laid back. Unlike chimps.
Lemurs are just weird, though.
I've read about and seen on tv too many stories of attacks by chimpanzees.
I like dogs. They wag their tales, howl and fetch.

A lot of those chimp stories are from the idiots that get them as pets. I have never understood that impulse. Sure, they're cute as babies, but they grow up into animals that can casually rip your arms off.

I have enough issues with my cat attacking my feet, let alone an animal that could cause me serious and/or fatal amounts of harm.*
