Best thing that could have happened for the 49ers. A chance to relax and catch their collective breath after that kick return.

Also, when the Ravens get a surge of momentum, it's so great that it causes blackouts.

We will have to see. I hope they get through this half pretty quick. It's two in the morning here!

Yes, the 49ers strategy of lights out seems to have worked. Broke the Ravens momentum and now the 49ers have the momentum...

Score now, 29-20, still Baltimore but dwindling fast...

Score now 31-29, still the Ravens.

That failed 2 point conversion might just come back to haunt the 49ers, or not.

A little under 10 minutes to play. Enough time for both teams to win it, or lose it...

The thing is, the 49ers need to eat the clock and score 7 so the Ravens don't have time to come back...

4th and goal and Ravens blitz, and 49ers miss the pass in the end zone.

All the Ravens need to do now is run out the clock...

And the Ravens give Ray Lewis another Super bowl ring.

The Ravens looked like a different team after the power came back on, but played just well enough to take the game. Barely...

The Las Vegas odds makers almost got it right...

Oh, so close for the 49ers. At least they fought back. They almost pulled it out.

I hope all the officials choke on their flags. This was a game defined by penalties NOT called: starting in the first half with a Raven giving a 49er a shot to the head after the whistle, right in front of the linesman who was marking the ball.

Ed Reed's blatant offside on the 49ers two-point conversion attempt.

The helmet-to-helmet hit on Crabtree on the 49ers 2nd to last play.

The defensive holding on 4th and goal.

Ravens win because they played aggressively, outside the rules, and were not reined in by the absentee officials.

Pitiful. They're still a group of thugs.

Great game. Did not go the way I thought it would, on either side of the ball.

Not sure about that last pass play, though. Easily could have been called pass interference.

I agree with you. The only thing is the talking heads whine about the refs to "let them play!" and not be too quick to throw the hankies. Me: if it's a rule, it's a friggin' rule, regardless of the game.
