Current total is 19723. Too lazy to work out how many words that is for the day. Not many. I'm really struggling with the section I'm up to so as long as I keep getting a few more paragraphs down each time I open my MS I'm happy. Going to spend the rest of the night trolling the interwebs for inspiration for character appearances.

I reached page 60, then realized this whole story needs to be rewritten from the top. At least something good has come of this week!

I realized that the last ~250 words of one story made it take a 'wrong turn' (I'm getting better at recognizing those now) & so I deleted em.

When i'm doing something like this challenge or NaNo, I just make a note about what needs to be fixed. Depending on what it is, I'll either fix it there (without losing words) or come back in edits. Scrivener makes this even easier because I can start a scene over and color-code the old scene to remind me to remove it.

I'm now gonna consider myself to have met the challenge, since I started this thread for motivation to finish my book and it is done!

So, now I'll be editing rather than counting pages any more.

I feel for those who can't get to it or whose inner brat won't cooperate! I put this off for months so I'm so glad to get back to it. So, now I'm staring at my printed out rough draft and wishing I could run away!

Another low production day; in the middle of my WIP and encountering "the slog". At this point I know who survives and how to get there, it's just the matter of writing all the stuff in between.

Hopefully today will be better; I'm already running a bit behind schedule but I've cleared off almost everything else I needed to do, so plenty of BIC time.

Remember those cliche scenes from the old horror movies:Frankenstein/ the zombies/the aliens/ giant ants/ rabid wolves/ humongous reptiles/ slavering sharks/ a tsunami/Genghis Khan and his buddies-- are chasing down a running crowd. Everyone is keeping up pretty well until one person trips and falls. The others try to help but she screams "Go on! Save yourselves! I am too weak to keep up!"
