Me: awaiting release of one e-book and one print book.
Working (sporadically) on sequel to time travel story (part of a 3 book series, hopefully).
Supposed to be working on one contemporary and one historical proposal for my agent to send out. Supposed to be. Not happening.
Canoodling book 3 in the time travel series, jotting down some notes.

Time! There's no time!

I feel downright lazy in comparison to Jersey Chick.

Me: beta reading 1 novel
final edits prior to querying for WIP #1
edit for NaNo to at least get free proof for WIP#2
2 WIP's outlined in full for #3 and #4
2 WIP's started (#3 and #5)
tons of shorts to polish and submit...eventually
1 2009 tax return
2 flexible spending reimbursement accounts to dig up receipts by 3/31 to claim or lose
1 cat vomit stain to be thoroughly cleaned (sorry, but truly my work is never done)

job

In the end, it's just you and the manuscript

Waiting for edits on Book 3 (April)
Waiting for line edits from agent on spec project (who knows)
Working on a proposal for books 2 and 3 for series #2.
Avoiding proposal for book 4 of series #1.
Brainstorming a new, seekrit project for myself.

I feel like a major slacker, too. I hate bouncing between multiple projects rather than down on the ground in just one.

WIP 1 first draft and a half off to betas, working on query and synopsis
Time to tidy up first draft of WIP 2 and send to betas
WIP 3 percolating in head.
Oh, there's that WIP first draft that needs gutting and rewriting
Critique groups reads and crits need to be ready for Saturday
Same as above needs to be done in time for conference panel over Easter.
And a huge stack of books I've read that I need to get round to writing reviews for

WIP at 57k (I thought I was going a fair pace but Cathy's just knocked me out of the ballpark :Wha:)
One novel, nearly finished with post-beta revisions (got side-tracked by WIP)
Two more also awaiting revision
One being queried but edging towards the Trunk of Doom.

Also kicking around ideas for next WIP.

- Mailed contract to publisher for novella
- Waiting to see cover art for same
- Editor recommended second novella for acquisition; trying not to bite nails off for the next two-three weeks while I wait to hear.
- WIP #1 = 6K words, probably another novella length
- WIP #2 = 11K words, probably novel length
- Spiral bound notebook on nightstand gathering notes for the next WIP once one of them is finished.
- Seven loads of laundry keeping the floor pinned down
- 2009 taxes, /whine
- Paperwork for house refi to ease our income stream issues so I can focus on breaking through with fiction instead of consulting. Would almost rather keep consulting rather than deal with that!

Release last Tuesday, still googling too much. >.<

1 novel out to both an editor (requested full) and an agent (cold query.)

WIP is at 60k out of an estimated 80k on first draft.

Gah, my arms ache just thinking about that.

I was already a month late with the ms. due to circumstances beyond my control (major reality changes in book 1 that blew my plot for book 3 out of the water.) But if it didn't get turned in, we were going to lose our release slot. I was thankful I was at a work seminar for a whole week in a nice hotel. I relied heavily on room service and the wake-up desk.

Amazing what can be done when you're in a panic. LOL!

Wow, Cathy! You are an inspiration to us all! And I strongly recommend a bath with like epsom salts (no more than 20 minutes, or apparently the toxins absorbed by the salts will be reabsorbed by your body; who knew?)

I am:
pluggin' away at my WIP #1 (86K or so, WOOT)
fighting to give a 100-headed mess some sort of plot, cohesion, and order (approx 135K with redundancies, missing scenes, plot holes, etc., etc.)
Helping my crit partner with a multi-book series
Dreaming up ideas for a brand spankin' new possible multi-book series of my own, which has unexpectedly gone off in a diff direction than I was originally imagining
