Congrats on surviving the graduation! That's an accomplishment in itself.

IMO, one of the worst things for being creative or productive is the word "should". Just let it come if it comes. If it doesn't, then maybe you need the down time to recharge and be creative later.

I just spent twenty minutes arguing with the head of Business Developement over email because he doesn't know how to attach a file to an email.

How do you get to be the head of a department in a major company in 2013 and not know basic email usage?

You have a secretary who does it for you.

But with the latest national push to cut out secretaries, he's left holding the bag.

May also be a generational thing, depending on the boss's age. Which is still really no excuse.

Well, if he weren't in Norway, he would be in serious danger of a Gibbs-style head slap.

Seriously - emailing a picture of the file to the client, and then not understanding why they can't open it?

And then he got all hurt and insulting because I suggested he find an admin to explain it to him. He thinks I don't speak Norwegian - which I don't, but it's close enough to German I can get the gist.

He probably makes 3 times what I do. Dammit.

Oh, and it just keeps getting better and better.

I was told a few weeks ago that I would be considered for a Director position in 6-8 months as they evaluated whether the pilot program we're currently running would be viable.

I just got a fuck-ton of work assigned by a person I've never heard of who happens to have THE EXACT JOB I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GETTING.

If I could support my family with writing, I'd walk out today.

Hang in there. I know it sucks.

Just sent book 3 off to the publisher. Now I can start outlining book 4, tentative title, Vision of Sacraments.
