See my avatar? The next galaxy over.
That was fast.

Congratulations, winners!

I'd say I enjoyed your stories, but that would imply I didn't enjoy the other stories... I really liked all the entries in this contest. So nice job, everyone! :)

Cheering you all on!
Yay, that's so exciting! :hooray: I haven't placed in a kidlit contest since YA was a part of Writing for Kids :D

I'm also really happy to see my favorite entries scoring so highly :snoopy:

:hooray:Eeee! I can't believe it!

This is the first time I've ever earned a penny from my writing! And the entries were all so good!

Smish, thank you so much for putting together such a fun event.

Big congrats to all the winners and entrants!

This was so much fun. I've never written a short (outside of school assignments in the dark ages) nor to a prompt, but this has made me consider possibly throwing in something the next go 'round.

So do I have a year to think on it, or is there also a Spring/Summer Contest? Not sure I'm ready to tackle that. Shorts are HARD, especially when one is as verbose as I am. :Ssh:

I usually have trouble with the short stories and writing to prompts, but this one was easy for me. I spent all of December writing from prompts, so when this one came up, I was ready. Actually, it was probably in the top three easiest stories to write in that month.
